Party of 7. Late lunch after 1:30pm. Two kids under 6. Food was okay. Nothing special. I had a Philly cheese steak sandwich.... Others had various salads. Coconut cream pie was very good. Service was poor. Waitress more interested in talking withcoworkers. 4 or 5 flies buzzing over table and food. No one interested in getting rid of flies. ?PURTY GOOD? is the ranking I get on the peg puzzles I play at the Cracker Barrell chain/theme restaurants I can?t seem to avoid... very often on road trips. And that?s the grade I give Bingham?s, an independent operator in rural Pennsylvania. Unlike the CBrestaurants, which come with a dump store that outpaces those at Disney World, Bingham?s has plain, filling entrees favored bylocal retirees and glass-case displays of pies and other baked goods last seen in a Long Island diner when LBJ was president.That is a big plus!
