Formerly known as "Sweet Things" ..Run by an Lady Owner who surrounded herself Grandmothers & Mothers who knew how to cook her... way.. now that's when they were good..!! Now..well they're ok...food's kinda..ehhh..! You know the kind where you have to addcondiments for it to taste good. If you want breakfast & order scrambled eggs, it comes looking like paper not the fluffybuttery taste as it should be . Pancakes are served w/funky syrup..yuck!! Coffee is now over $2 in a small, though refillablecup.. Burgers are also..ok..they used to be served on Hawaiian buns w/Crinkle cut fries..not now Now it's reg buns &chips..fries are Xtra..!! Btw..folks..any of you reading my Posts..I came from Austin, I've worked all over Texas, from Dallas,Ft.Worth to south of San Antonio, Coastal area too. Crazy gals has always been a place that my family and I have gone to, they?ve always been super courteous and welcoming.... Recently my wife and I went to eat and the experience was not so great. One of the employees was deliberately speaking bad aboutcustomers to other customers, I find that very unprofessional and disrespectful, also getting a tip is a privilege based on howwell you serve the customers and how well the experience is and when not tipped there shouldn?t be anything said about thatcustomer you have to earn that tip and if you didn?t earn it, it?s not the customers fault! Breakfast was delicious, it seems crazy but the bred was perfectly buttered, and went great with grape jelly!
We stopped here on our way back to Houston. We were a little sketchy about the name so we made sure it was kid friendly. Glad... we stopped. The food was absolute delicious. I had the Chicken Fried Steak and it was one of the best I've ever had. Veryflavorful. We were a party of 12. The pancakes were nice and fluffy. The French toast was amazing. The burgers were big andjuicy. And their service was great. Will eat here again. Read more
