Breakfast was nothing spectacular but the chicken flatbread, kale salad, and Korean tacos were good.
Food was average in my opinion. I couldn't even really find anything on the menu that appealed to me. So I just shared a meal... with my lady. And let's just say I wasn't impressed. I probably won't order from here again unless I get desperate and can'tfind anything else. Read more
Visited Hammer & Fire for the first time during restaurant week. What a pleasant experience. Let me first say, the entire staff... is top notch. Beyond that, we really enjoyed the entire meal and cocktails. The Old Fashioned was made perfectly. Thecharcuterie board included a lovely selection of items. The pork chop was cooked to perfection. Salmon and grits tender and creamy grits. Airline Chicken very flavorful and enjoyed the Charcuterie. Service was fast.
Service was excellent, restaurant extremely clean, both dinner & breakfast the following morning were beyond delicious.
Staying at the hotel. Went down to order food to bring back to room. Ordered the beef bulgogi tacos and kids sliders. Wow,... couldn't have been more than a tablespoon of meat in each and very tiny. More slaw than anything. Didn't get sliders, got a fullburger. I see why restaurant was empty on a Friday. Read more
Hammer an fire restaurant is located Inside newly renovated hotel Alloy. Clean crisp look with covid protocols in mind.... Everything easily cleaned and sanitized. Decor was very nice and silverware was elegant with good weight and nice texture.Jeremy was very pleasant and informative Ample outlets provided for charging devices of all types. Fire and shrimpgumbo Decadent base filled with shrimp, shredded crab, okra and long grained rice. Beautifully presented with shrimp in everybite. Very pleased thus far even though menu mention scallops and sausage were non-existent. Could have had a little heat whichprobably came from andouille sausage that were missing. It was nice that they added the rice at the end white kept the ricefrom being overcooked. Forge Burger Huge burger cooked to order. Topped with leafy lettuce, thick slice of tomato, and a sunnyside up egg. The bacon jam was absolutely the star while the gruyere was hardly there. Burger was order medium but still hadjust a touch to much charr for me. Even still it was delicious and I devoured it. Cajun shrimp & grits Great presentation withlarge shrimp and thick slice of andouille sausage on a bed of stone ground grits. With a decadent cream on the side, but oncethat cream, which was ladle on the side, disapated the dish was a little dry. Even still it was delicious and gotdevoured. Chocolate torte Like a chocolate truffle on steroids according to my wife. I order the blueberry cheesecake and itlooked delicious but it had chocolate to which I am allergic. So, Jeremy accommodated me and got me a creme bruleé that wasgood. Overall very satisfied and enticed to see the rest of the renovations in the hotel.
