Y?all, today we went to Geechie?s Southern Style Restaurant in Killeen, Texas and it was a taste of home, straight from the... Lowcountry! I had a fine bowl of grits with yummy shrimp, but the best part was the three big ole pieces of catfish just packedwith those good spices. Everybody had some fried chicken which were those yummy drummettes which took my tastebuds right backto the fellowship hall. My family loved the Three Sista Gurls chicken and waffles, the cornbread was fabulous and the collardgreens could not have been tastier. You?ve got to try this place out! We are South Carolinians who wanted good southern style food. We traveled 2 hours to make sure our taste buds were satisfied.... The servers were very helpful when ask questions, the atmosphere was pleasant and the service was superb. The food was seasoned,tasty and delicious; everyone enjoyed their meal and our palettes were completely satisfied. Home cooked southern food home awayfrom home.
