Run of the mill Plaza Azteca, tasty but service can always be a little lackadaisical. The hot queso dip was not the best as it... only had one type of cheese and seemed a bit bland. Excellent bar service. We ordered the crispy fajita salad with shrimp. Very fresh. We also ordered the chicken hard tacos but... got soft tacos. Non the less it was delicious. We also ordered the frozen margarita. This was good as well. Read more

Good place to stop in and grab a bite to eat and a frozen margarita.. Really good tableside guac and the barrias were delicious.... Knocking off 2 stars though as this place was not very clean. In fact there was a plastic container for menus at the frontentrance filled with trash like gum and paper. We even bought this to the staffs attention as we were entering thinking it wouldbe gone when we left.... nope still there and if we had not all been so hungry after a day of traveling we would have turnedaround at the door due to that unwelcome sight. Got the Flag-rita....excellent (thumbs up and smile, Wayne's World style), and the carnitas enchiladas. The food here was... definitely a step up from your standard, local Mexican restaurant..it had a more high end, curated vibe. Our waiter was perfecttoo. Fantastic value. Read more

What a great find. A really great Mexican restaurant at the beach. We had great service and the food was really great. Zero... complaints from my bunch. Not we expected at all. Will definitely eat here again on any trip back to the outerbanks. Make sureto make this a spot for birthdays too. Excellent food and service. I enjoyed every moment. I definitely recommend this place to try at least one time. They offer... complementary chips and salsa that are really yummy. The chicken and shrimp fajitas are so good. Be aware during dinner timesince the restaurant is not that big and has a high demand is possible that the restaurant will be at top capacity and have theneed to wait for seating.
