Reviews for Paia Fish Market South Side in Kihei, HI
Paia Fish Market South Side and Kihei is a great local spot always buzzing with a line that fortunately moves fast. They have... great fresh fish plate options with multiple choices on how they cook your fish - I recommend the sautéed or the blacked Cajun?better yet try both! The calamari or shrimp to start with sets the tone. Definitely a must try if you?re in Maui. Read more
Yummy fish preparations! Portion sizes are generous. Neat little place. Limited seating for dine-in. We reached just before 1pm... and found a place to sit, but after that the place seemed to suddenly fill up. The person who took our order was friendly andgave appropriate suggestions. Read more
We tried the cheese quesadellia with the clam chowder and it was amazing. We showed up right when they opened and they still had... a line but we were able to find seating after we ordered. Best fish and chips we have had so far in the USA. Salmon was justperfect! Fries were the best we have had on the island ???? Not a big fan of their salad but to each their own. We checked outthe tiny shopping booths nearby before dining in. ???? Read more
We come here every time we come to Maui. The food is amazing. It gets so busy for dinner that the line gets easily 25 people... deep. We go for lunch when it's a bit less crowded. Seating outside is limited and the only option for dine in. We had fishtacos that were fresh and well accompanied, seafood fettuccine, to die for, and seafood salad with a large piece of Ahi.Everyone loved their meal. Read more
We visited twice on our trip to Maui and had delicious food both times. The fish tastes so fresh and portions are very generous.... If you like seafood I would definitely recommend coming here! Read more
Great variety of local fare. Quite good. I recommend going with the "market" fresh fish because we saw first hand that the... shrimp and onion rings were frozen, out of a box. All seating is outdoor. Go early for dinner. The line moves slow and it canget really crowded. Read more
I?m surprised how disappointed I was with Paia Fish Market. The fish n chips was lackluster in flavor. They have a great look,... but just under seasoned and a bit dry. The fish tacos were also underwhelming. No flavor compared to other tacos we had in thearea. The clam chowder was good, but nothing to write home about. The service staff didn?t bring be extra tartar sauce after Irequested it. The girl I asked scoffed at me and walked away. So, I must say avoid this place as there are better taco/fish nchip places in the area. Read more
During our Maui trip this is the place that we went twice and it?s totally worth it! This was a suggested place from our family... who visited before and we are glad we went here. I would leave the French fries and order Cajun rice and home potatoes insteadof fries? bcz we can get them anywhere and doesn?t taste any different here. But Cajun rice is yum! And black end fish Read more
