This used to be a wonderful place with great food. I was so excited to come back with the family only to find the place dirty,... and water leaking all over the floor from the buffet. All the fried food was nasty due to what looked like being cooked in oldfryer oil. Prices are up and it cost way to much to have such nasty food. I basically uasld pudding and some pickles. Best country buffet, best fried chicken, perfect fried chicken on buffet everyday. Everything I ate was good. Very small buffet... but absolutely good, good salad, great ranch dressing. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. The first part of this review does not relate to our food, but does weigh... heavily in my overall review. At this time with the resurgence of COVID 19, I didn't see any social distancing, masks beingworn by customers, wait staff or food handlers. No disinfecting of menus between customers either. I wore my mask until Iabsolutely had to take it off to eat. Please...everyone take proper precautions. Staff was friendly and efficient. I orderedeggs, bacon, grits and biscuits. My husband ordered eggs, ham, hashbrowns and biscuits. My eggs were served hot, light andfluffy. A thousand points for that! Grits were good and I personally didn't care for the biscuits and bacon. My husband thoughtboth were good. He said the ham was good also. Means a lot from him. The price was great. I should probably make this a 5 star, but I'm going with 4.5. Food was fantastic. Prices fantastic. Restroom was clean. Eating... area was clean. Our waitress was personable, smart and all around great. She really knew the menu and was very helpful. I was inthe mood for breakfast type food but to late for it. My husband wanted catfish. They were in lunch mode and had a beautifulfried chicken buffet spread going. The waitress helped me pick an item that was perfect for me, ham and egg sandwich on toastwith a side of cheesy grits! Wha La! I had my breakfast. My husbands catfish was cooked perfectly. And huge portions. He couldhave gone with their all you can eat with just a dollar or so more. But he had all he could handle on his plate. I got a pictureof it and I will add it to this post. My only grip would be the young lady who seated us.
