My wife and I went down to Key West for the day. We stopped in at Caroline?s Cafe for an early dinner. It was about 4:45pm when... we arrived and we were seated at a nice table with the breeze of a fan on us. Jimmy, our waiter, greeted us with a big smile andwas very friendly. I started with a watermelon Margarita, very tasty and Jimmy suggested the fish of the day, Mahi-mahi. So weboth ordered that. The food came quickly and I was pleasantly surprised, with the fresh broccoli and generous rice portions.They had a wonderful homemade tarter sauce also. The fish was cooked to perfection, moist and tender. The rice had a kind ofbutter sauce that was very good. We both enjoyed the meal. And of course, we had to have a piece of Key Lime pie for dessert.That too was excellent. I can?t say enough about what a great meal and fantastic service we received. Got recommended by a friend who said I had to eat here while in Key West. Came in for lunch and our party of 5 was seated right... away. The food was delish. The shrimp po'boy was huge. They also have five dollar local craft beers. All seating is outsidebut there is cover and fans which helped us beat the heat. Read more
You have to have your whole party there to get seated. Which was odd being that the place was not that full and it took a little... while for our food to get to the table. The food tasted good. We got the peel and eat shrimp and the Dolphin Fingers. I also gotthe Island sytle roast pork bowl which was really good. We loved this place! Our food was great, this was my hubby's favorite jambalaya, they made it extra spicy for him and they have... the best dolphin fingers.
