We had our anniversary dinner at Gibs. We ordered Tenderloin and Lasagna. It was fantastic. The salad and bread was so fresh... and tasteful. We went here pretty late on a night where mosquitos ruined our original anniversary plans. I had some sort of German rolled up... steak dish & my wife had meatballs and dumplings. Everything was very good including service. (We made it out before closing) Read more
Everything was great. From the friendly staff, the cocktails and the dinner. There were five of us, we had a variety of German... food, pasta, and an excellent tenderloin. I would highly recommend. And the view over Lake Michigan! Read more
We had a reservation for 7 PM on a Friday evening and arrived at 645. We're informed the hostess of our arrival, went to the... bar, ordered drinks, were given a menu and number for ordering. It got to be 715 and we asked how far behind they were withorders. They said "oh no one has taken your order? Someone will be right over". 735 still no one, we questioned if we needed todo something else or if we had done something wrong by sitting at the bar? Suddenly a waitress apologized and took our order andwe were immediately seated. Extremely disappointing! Waitress disappeared after dropping off meal. No refills, desert or a check. She also failed to bring a... salad ordered extra. Had to go find another Waitress to get check and togo bag. Food is overpriced for quality! A side salad 1/2of a cherry tomato, 2 strips of onion, a few pieces of shredded carrots and lettuce dumped out of a bag. Not the quality orservice I heard about. Don't waste your hard earned money or time. I also shouldn't be able to smell the sewage system from theparking lot. In there defense they offered free desert or a gift certificate, we declined. I don't want free stuff to fixproblems when I eat, I want quality and service to begin with! Read more
Found out about this place from some locals. Really excellent service. Food didn't take too long to come out. My husband likes... his old fashioned. They have a good bar selection for various drinks. My steak could have had more seasoning, but I added themushrooms and onions. That really helped. Mushrooms were so good (after a little salt). We would come back here again if in thearea. Read more
