Awesome food and big portions. You'll spend around $15 per dish at dinner time but a dish and bread could easily be shared.
I've enjoyed this restaurant in the past and always thought the dining room could use a little TLC and the quality of the buffet... could improve. We hadn't visited since 2020 and came in for lunch today. We were pleasantly surprised by new chairs and booths,a new flow for the restaurant and nice clean tables and linens. The buffet has been replaced with a lunch/dinner menu with fullservice but great prices. Lunch entrees start at 9.99 and include 1.5 portion. We ordered three lunch entrees and make our owntable buffet to speak of. Loved the Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and Chicken Biriyani. We will be back again. They lie and never admit any wrong doings, and forget the American concept of Customer is always right. They will argue with you... if you complain. I used to recommend my colleagues at UD years ago but with new management it is not the case anymore. I wishany health inspectors from the City could check their kitchen without telling them. Love this restaurant and have ordered here for many years. The only complaint I have have is the portion size of some of their... items. In the past the aloo tikki used to be the size of a burger patty and now it?s the size of a token. That?s not worth theprice. Read more

Wow!!! We have a favorite Indian Restaurant in Columbus and are always hesitant to try other restaurants for fear they won't... measure up. Ajanta measured up wonderfully. Although the lunch buffet is a thing of the past, the four items we had weredelicious and made to order. Hubby said that the paneer dish he had was best ever. Soda pop is by the can. Plenty served for abig eater and/or leftovers. We'll be back! Read more
Ajanta is a nice and big place for dine in and buffet. I ordered paapri chaat, poori and aalo cholay today. Their chaat was very... tasty. It was served with tamarind chutni, mint chutni and tomatoes. Anyone who loves Pakistani food would love their chaat.Their aalo choolay were good. I ordered level 5 spicy and trust me, it was really very spicy( which I loved btw). However, theirpoori felt kind of like bhatura to me. It wasn?t the kind of poori I was looking for. But it was good too. Now the reason I gave5 stars is because of jaleebi. They have THE BEST jaleebi. It wasn?t soggy, it didn?t have cardamom taste either and it wassimply amazing. I love Pakistani jaleebi and it tasted just liked that. Read more
