Worst restaurant with the best view. I asked the waiter what was good on the menu and he literally said ?I don?t know?. The crab... was previously frozen and overpriced. Terrible service. Go somewhere else!! Read more

Ketchikan is my home and I was born and raised there. When we went on vacation, I wanted to stay in relative comfort while... visiting my family for a month, without damaging any relationships by being in close contact, all day, every day. At first, trying to get arrangements for a room were very difficult, but Cape Fox Lodge managed to get my family and I booked for thestay. Honestly, after staying there, I do not think that I would like to stay anywhere else. I think the thing that reallymade this arrangement work for me was the staff. They were all pretty good, especially the local-born Natives that work there, many of which I got to know very well. Believe me, while the lodge is very nice on its own, it was the local people workingthere that made it extra special. The rooms were good and we were quite fond of the locations that had the picturesque viewfrom the window, overlooking the ocean. The other views of the mountains were okay too. As far as the onsite restaurant, Ithought it was excellent! We ate there a lot and the food was delicious and the service was always great. Any complaints thatI have are very limited. Firstly, the elevator only exists on one side of the building, so if you bring a lot of luggage, youare going to get a workout for sure. Also, there is only one laundry facility there, but the upside is that it was alwaysavailable when we needed it. My recommendations for Cape Fox Lodge management, if you read this review, would be to includeroom rates in the rewards program and also ensure that your clients know about the rewards program, as I didn't find out aboutit until the last couple of days before I departed. Really nice play to stay and I highly recommend it to anyone that isconsidering a visit to my beautiful home in Ketchikan!!! Read more

An fun filled evening with exceptional food and beverages. I was there with my 4 sisters and the food was outstanding. The wine... reccomendations paired perfectly with our meals. If I could give more stars I would. The staff made our evening one that we willremember forever. Read more

The service and food were amazing! KJ was our sommelier. She shared her wine knowledge with us which was both fun and... enlightening. I highly recommend the crab and brie dip. Delicious!!! Read more

We loved are stay at Cape Fox with one exception. I can't believe an establishment owned and operated by indigenous peoples... would have the neo-Natzi Fox New running all day long in the lobby and bar areas. When we asked for a channel change we wereaccommodated only to return latter to the same drill. I recommend that you avoid so called news programming all together. Weshould not be required to subjected to propaganda throughout your hotel. Try sports programming or anything less disgusting. Read more

I have lived in this hotel twice. And every time I have been here, I have had nothing but a memorable experience. I can easily... say this hotel is one of the best in its class. The foods are delicious and one of the best I have ever eaten in a hotel. Theirservices are top-notch, the hospitality is none to any I have experienced. I highly recommend this hotel. Read more

Beautiful view. Food was delicious! Service was slow. Maybe she was new? A local told us to eat there. Halibut bites were so... yummy for the appetizer.. dinner was so good we ordered dessert. That was a little let down. After a beautiful presentation weexpected a continued presentation. Plenty of parking, we only went for dinner. There are some really cool totems that the galin the gift shop can tell you about. Her father did them, or the lodge can give you the paper about them. You can stay here aswell. They also have trails everywhere. Read more

The hotel is decent but incredibly overpriced. I expected the service to be excellent, and with the exception of one employee,... it was severely lacking. Virtually all staff were indifferent to any request. No one smiled or acted like they cared about, well, anything. I asked about the shuttle to town twice and was told it was leaving in a few minutes. It didn't show up eithertime. It does leave on time for scheduled flights, though. The room I was given was fairly dingy. Really needs an update.Amenities were fine - good WiFi and comfortable bed. No hot water for 10 minutes on the first morning, but the next few days noproblems there. The restaurant was above average. The lobby and the views from there and the restaurant were pretty great, (butsome really tall trees get in the way - stupid nature). There aren't many options for "nice" hotels in Ketchikan, so I guessthat's why they can charge what they do. I'll look for something else next time. Read more
