Skimpy, 2 slices of brisket cut in 1/2, 1/4 sausage link, chicken quarter so dry it shrank. No sides available except Mac &... cheese (NASTY), it?s in a grocery store and they can serve only 1 side dish looked unappetizing, tasted unappetizing. Go toBuzzies down the street it is better, more bang for your buck. Not going back Read more

Out of ribs, Mac n cheese, creamed corn, green beans, corn bread and their deep fryer was down. I read that this place was rated... best BBQ in Texas by Texas monthly. I doubt it was even the best BBQ in that HEB store it was located in, much less Texas. Ididn't know it was possible to dry out fatty brisket, but they succeeded. Yikes. Read more

Brisket nachos are definitely not worth the money. Just some chips, a little bit of shredded brisket (little bit) a little... guacamole and sour cream absolutely not worth $12. Read more

True Texas BBQ catered my daughter?s rehearsal dinner. The catering manager Linda Lewis did a phenomenal job helping me from... the initial planning to actually catering the food. The brisket and chicken tasted like they?d just come off the pit and thesides were delicious. If I could give 10 stars I would. Read more

???? TRUE TEXAS BBQ ???? [review of #TrueTexasBBQ] @TrueTexasBBQ My son Teak and I are once again on a brief food jaunt. This... time it?s over to the @heb on Main Street for a little bit of brisket. He had the meat plate, which came with two sides. I hadthe limited edition ?True Texas Cheesesteak.? His was delicious but uneventful in terms of eating logistics. With fingers ofboth hands spread wide, I tried to pick up mine, which was about 4 inches in thickness. Some of the food fell on my plate andabout 10% was hung up on my whiskers. Only downside is that the tapwater on the fountain machine was broken so I had to buy anAquafina for a buck. But: small obstacle. GO! ???? Read more

The food looked good but I was disappointed in the amount of meat I got for the price. The salad was fresh, but the coslaw was... tasteless and the meat was terrible. Dry and chewy on one side. I was scared to swallow it in fear it would scrape my throaton the way down. The other side was so greasy i was ill for several hours after consuming just a small portion. I tried mybest to eat some of it because I didn't want to waste the money I just spent on it but even then...I could only stomach a smallportion of the miniscule bit they gave me.. I feel like they replaced the deli hot food line with this place. I preferred thedeli. They had more of a variety. In short...this is not "true" Texas BBQ. I will stick with a local "mom &pop" place for myBBQ. Buzzies or bills bbq on junction. Read more

My husband got pulled pork sandwich, very little flavor he had to put extra BBQ sauce on to save it. His mac n' cheese was... awful, clumpy and bland. I got the lean sliced brisket sandwich. It was tender but flavor-wise just ok. Long wait time for foodand only two other people in there. But for $4 pork sandwich and $6.80 brisket sandwich, good value for the amount of meat theyput on there, it filled us up. Read more

I'm impressed with this place! The Brisket was top notch, that alone deserves 5 stars!! It was juicy, tender, buttery, fall... apart and amazing! Best sliced brisket I've had in years! I got the fatty cuts. Also ordered the turkey breast which is thereason for 4 stars, it was very tasty, great flavor but my wife and I have had juicier more flavorful at other places (notkerrville though). Overall, ill definitely be coming back, especially on a cheat day to get all the sides and deserts that alllook amazing! I eat keto, so I was a bit limited this time. Read more
