Outstanding venue for listening to live music! What a pleasant surprise I had when I visited the Trailhead Beer Garden for the... first time. I have been to and enjoyed many Schreiner University coffee houses when they were in the Lions Den, but the newvenue is incredible. There is nothing much better than listening to live Texas music outside on a warm September evening.Michael Hearn performed a mix of old and new tunes with the grace of a seasoned performer. His love of song writing and youngwriters was evident throughout his performance. My favorite part of live music is the stories between the songs and MichaelHearn did not disappoint. Schreiner students were so fortunate to have Michael Hearn share his passion and talent with them. Iam so glad I went to this live, free, outdoor concert and look forward to going again. Read more

A hidden gem on the campus of Shreiner University. Good craft beers, rustic open door vibe with a nice out door patio and... grounds. Food truck ???? on the side most days. Read more

Was there for a late Sunday afternoon. Beautiful spot, lots of outdoor shaded seating, although we sat inside. Unique venue... being on campus. Food truck, local draft beer from Pint& Plough and others. Dog friendly. We'll be back. Read more

Cool venue with nice selection of local beers/cysers/wine, friendly staff, good seating inside and out. On driving directions,... use the main entrance off Broadway and enjoy a tour of the campus (the side gate is closed). Read more

Great venue. The sound system sounds very natural. There is plenty of parking with easy, close access. Some seating available... but you are better off bringing your own camp chair. You can see and hear from the sides of the stage. Good seating all around. You can purchase beer, wine, and soft drinks. Water is available. There is no iced tea available. Bring your own There has beena food truck parked nearby but I don't know what's going on there. The selection of artists has been good but check the schedulefor your preference or try someone new! Choose the road less traveled and expand your listening. It's been hot but there isplenty of shade. During August there was a slight breeze and that made all the difference. Read more

Although it?s a bit hard to find ? and I know my way around Kerrville a bit; and Schreiner students will certainly know it... better ? it?s well worth the effort. Parking is plentiful. The main building itself is very airy, with light on three sides anda wood-burning stove in the middle, like for those cold nights in February that we had. I had a delicious 16oz kombucha for $7,which I still thought was a bit steep. The only food is small bags of chips for now, so make sure you eat beforehand. Out frontare tables and cornhole games. To the side are picnic tables and a music venue. Beyond the building is a sand volleyball court. It was fairly quiet when I visited today, Sunday, but I could see how this place would definitely rock. What a fantasticaddition to the Kerrville scene. Read more
