Get a double order of tater kegs if your group is larger than 3. They are delicious. We had blt sandwich, pepper steak, kids... cheese burger and meatloaf. Food was ok. I felt the meat loaf was a tad salty but it was just two pieces. We had the strawberryshort cake which was also delicious. You can?t beat the price. Great Service! Our waitress was from South Carolina, and so attentive. The location was breathtaking as it overlooked the river... from their outdoor dining patio. Food was wonderful and reasonably priced and plenty of it! Highly recommend for a romanticdate on the patio or just an everyday nice meal. Had a great experience! Read more
I highly recommend Billy Gene's. It's a must! Loved the view of the water. The decor was great. The food was good. Prices... good. Sit by the window or porch for a beautiful view of the water. The cod fried in beer batter was very good and I recommendit. Thick, flakey fillets, cooked perfectly. The vegetables were very good. The meatloaf was ok. (We are picky about ourmeatloaf) I was told they have delicious steaks. Homemade desserts were available. (People were coming in just to pick up cakes"to go". Read more
I really enjoyed the view from the porch here. We were visited by lots of wildlife during our meal, about 2 dozen hummingbirds,... a lot of butterflies and other birds in the distace, even a stay cat walked by the river. The food paired nicely with the view.My patty melt came with bacon, which was a new one for me and a great surprise. It seemed that the restaurant favorite was thechicken fried steak. Beautiful view of the river on the patio, food came out SO FAST, service was excellent. Only had to wait 20 min to sit on the... patio on a Sunday. My favorite item was the fried zucchini. Had the Turkey club, pretty good but wish the crossaint was toasted.My family loved their chicken fried steak! Extremely reasonable prices as well. Read more
Came here for a weekday dinner on a recommendation from a friend and we weren?t disappointed! Want a great appetizer?, get the... tator kegs, they are killer! I had blackened salmon, rice, and onion rings and they were all delicious! Wife had fried pork chopand baked potato and they were excellent! Now for the service: we were promptly greeted and seated. Our waiter was Alejandro andhe was great! He was pleasant, informative, and energetic! My recommendation is to go here for any meal, you will be pleased! Read more
The food was just okay. My husband liked his steak but my friends salad looked pretty crazy. Like sliced grocery store lunch... meat in it. And her husband was pretty upset about his charbroiled ?steak? which is actually just a very dry burger. I orderedmy salmon medium and everyone else (besides my friend with the salad) ordered their steaks medium as well, they all got welldone. My salmon was well done as well. My husband said the steaks flavor was good, I wasn?t super impressed with the salmon. Thetea could have used more sugar. HOWEVER, your staff is really cool. You are very lucky for these servers. Our server Tyler wasHILARIOUS. He really just elevated the whole experience. There was another server who was a woman with a southern accent anddirty blonde hair, she was also super sweet. Y?all must be doing something right to have such an extreme wait list but to behonest it was a miss for us besides the phenomenal experience with your servers. Also the view is what we really went for and itdid not disappoint. Something really enjoyable about eating in front of a beautiful scenery.
