Unfortunately not a great experience. It was our first time, and being a staple in Kernersville we were hoping to really enjoy... it. The atmosphere is good, old style southern restaurant feel. The food however, was not what we expected and didn?t sit wellin our stomachs afterward. The meat felt mushy and like it had been sitting for a long time. The potato salad was lacking flavorand just tasted like straight Mayo, and the Mac and cheese bites were the same - no flavor, tasted like breadcrumbs with nocheese taste. Read more
Excellent, authentic, and extremely consistent BBQ. Just as good today as it was 20+ years ago, with the same southern charm... (and more menu options!). It's not fancy, but it makes up for that by being friendly, and there's not a single item on the menuthat isn't absolutely delicious. Read more
Another visit had the Catfish very good good service Prissy Polly's BBQ counter service no wait staff. Look at the menu before... you go there is alot to look at and they don't just have BBQ. It left me a little confused there was so much. What I didn'tlike it was only counter service for dine in. I asked if the food was brought out and I was told yes, then I figured out nothey call the number on your receipt. Maybe they misunderstood the question?. All drinks condiments are self serve and for BBQyou only get a napkin that's included in a cafeteria style utensil package? (Ughh) thier are no napkins on the counter wellunless you ask and if they aren't busy helping or doing something else. The table was sticky (Ughh) . What I did like I ordereda combo plate Catfish, pork with cabbage and baked beans. The Catfish was excellent hot and a crisp batter very tasty. Thecabbage was fork tender and the hushpuppies were hot fresh and really tasty. I overall enjoyed my visit here the food was reallygood. We had the salad with grilled chicken (we're on the Keto diet). They have live bluegrass bands on Thursday and Saturday nights... and both the music and food were good on the night we were there. We really enjoyed our time there. Read more
