I've eaten Mexican food all across the nation. What I've learned, is that different regions of the U.S. have different... expectations. In the mid-southern states it seems like large portions, heavy in sauce and cheese is preferred. Honestly it justtakes away from some of the amazing dishes people could have. There are lots of locations around the triad that offer moreauthentic Mexican food. That being said, Don Juan's is counting on their dishes to appeal to the local population. Good food and they give you a fair amount. However I asked that instead of guacamole salad, they give me a little more rice or... refried beans. They charged me extra for both the rice and the beans and refused to adjust it even when o told them I neverwanted to buy extra sides. Won't be back. I can find reasonable other Mexican food. My wife and I were visiting family in the area and they took us here. We both enjoyed the California Burrito she got the smaller... one I got the larger one and I'm a bigger man and a large one worked out quite well for me. We got the combo one with steakshrimp and chicken. We also enjoyed a couple pictures of margaritas with our family. We all had a good time the wait staff wasvery attentive and the food came out quickly and it was quite delicious. My brother-in-law did share a dessert that they hadwhich was some kind of cheesecake with some ice cream and that too was a very good. We did receive chips and salsa when we satdown and the salsa was good I kind of wished it was a little more spicy but it was perfect for my wife who does not like spice.I think it was good value for the money and again the service was good and quick and very attentive to what we wanted. Staff super attentive, food to simply delicious. They give you mounds of food for a reasonable price. Three adults with drinks,... pitcher of beer, less than 70 bucks. My new go to for these inflated times. Read more
