I stopped by Lacey's for the second time yesterday and had a great experience, the same as the last time I was here! The service... is excellent and all staff are very friendly. Last time I had the meatloaf and it was great, this time I tried the fish tacosand they were delicious! The Tilapia had a thin, crispy and flavorful crust. I have been hesitant about writing Lacey's review. It's been about a month since we were here. The memory hasn't faded a bit. We... actually still compare meals to them. It's not in a good way, however. As everyone knows we are looking for property and we'vemade the trip to Kenyon or surrounding areas several times looking for that special place. So this time we stopped in town andwe were going to go to the VFW since we're both veterans, instead we decided on Laceys. First and foremost, it's KenyonMinnesota. That's not to say Kenyon can't have a higher scaled restaurant. It's just, in my opinion not going to be found atLaceys. The 2 stars were for their cucumber vodka drink ( I was whooping it up and had one!) and our waiter, Eddison or Addison.He did speak softly and with the loud music/tv I really couldn't make out everything he said. But he did say Lacey kinda lookedlike his own dad. So Dorian had some burger, I had a crossaint BLT. We shared fries and onion rings. The food was not good. Mycrossaint was not a crossaint it was a stale-ish bun and was nothing like I would have expected from a place that looked allfru-fru... anyway. Enough with the food. The part that we use when comparing meals still today was the freaking price. As youcan see from the pictures, nothing special, right? This meal was 75$$$ IN-FREAKING-SANE. we knew it was going to be spendy,we just thought we'd have some good food for that price. Lacey hawked us the entire time. He sat at the edge of the bar and kepta very close eye on us. He was trying waaaayyy too hard. I told the waiter I could imagine him and @gordonramsey going at it onKitchen Nightmares or something. Sad that i couldn't get a sample of one of the beers on tap...apparently they absolutely do not do samples which is sad due to... they had a few different ones that looked interesting on tap. Ended up getting a bottle of the norm beer that i know ilike. Food was ok and our waitress was great. Read more
