We came on thanksgiving after the lions game. The service was just great even though there were only a handful of folks working.... Then they surprised our little boy with a dinosaur backpack. Took about 5 minutes after being seated for someone to come over to get a drink order. Then another 10 minutes for them to come... back and said they forgot the drinks and then another 5 minutes after that to even get the drinks. Waited 30 minutes on thefood, mean while never received refills. Waitress was very nice, but this was one of the worst experiences I've had at arestaurant. (My last bad experience was at this same restaurant years ago and I hadn't returned until now). Read more
We had the kids with us and were hoping to have a quick dinner as a treat on a weekday. The food took quite a while to arrive... but it was good. By then the kids? drinks were gone so we ordered refills that never came. We watched the waitress bussing andthen sanitizing tables but we had to go up and ask for to-go boxes and the bill. My skillet meal was very good, but my wife's salmon was dry and tasteless. We had a hard time getting the waiter's attention to... bring her some lemon. We finally asked the friendly guy who was bussing tables and he brought it promptly. Our waiter barelysaid 5 words to us the whole time. Read more
Sausage links we cooked but very cold.. eggs were under cooked...wife had sirloin and first was very over cooked. 2nd try got... it very rare. Can cooks use internal thermometer. My grandson and I went to this Denny's and let me tell you something, The service was amazing. The waiter was kind and polite... but that wasn't even the best part. My grandson ordered steak and he said that it was the best steak he ever had. I tried apeice and it was mouthwatering. Read more
It was early in the morning so not real busy. The food was fine. What made it special was the service. By far the best service... in grand Rapids. What a nice crew. Thank you for the meal and for being so kind and attentive. Read more
