Love the place. Extra crispy spam musubi. The gooey butter mochi cake like they have back on the islands. The kalua pork is... never dry. And the mac salad?oh yeah?what more needs to be said? Wish he would update his hours on Google tho. It?s Saturdayafternoon at the end of summer at 6:15 and he closed shop early. Not cool, dude. We drove way outta the way to get there. I?mjust sad now. I really wanted to like this place but they?ve let me down now on multiple occasions. The lau lau combo is just fat wrapped in... taro with dry cabbage-less kalua pork and old rice. Twice I?ve been here & it?s the worst food I?ve ever been served . First time I got the kalua pork with cabbage , the whole... thing was drenched in grease , it was literally like soup , halfway filled the tray . Today I decided maybe give it another try, ordered short ribs , it was extra chewy (raw) , flavor was so bitter & the rice was hard and dry . This cook needs to go orthis place should be shut down .
