I came in to the restaurant at 8:40 on Friday. All the chairs were up on the tables already, even though closing time was 20... minutes away. The girl behind the counter said ?We are kind of closed.? The man in front of me said he would eat outside. Theemployee was clearly angry about serving customers 20 minutes before closing. She yelled at her co worker to lock the doors sono one else can come in. This was at 8:43!!! When I asked for a funnel cake, she said they can?t make it this late!! I toldher to just forget it. I tried to leave, but had to wait to have the employee unlock the doors. All in all, so disappointed.This kind of behavior isn?t allowed in the real world. Walgreens down the street doesn?t lock out their customers 20 minutesbefore they close. Olive Garden doesn?t lock their doors 20 minutes before closing either. I am a teacher and I don?t close mydoor 20 minutes before dismissal! Shameful. ?? Read more
I ordered my food and asked the cashier to not add certain things with the order because I didn't want them. Well she did... anyway, so I asked for a refund. Get this they refunded me my money and then still charged my card for the meal. So in reality,I still paid for a meal that I didn't eat or accept. The meal never touched my hands or even left the restaurant. How do yourefund someone, and turn around just to take it back? Also I still have both receipts. Bad for business. Read more
The girls working in the back were clearly working as hard and as fast as they could. There was a line out to Sherdian and they... still held their cool with the guests inside and the pace of service. This local restaurant is definitely a staple inKenosha...they've kind of been through hell and back in the last ten years and they still maintain delish hot food and an out ofthis world ice cream menu! They closed at 9pm tonight, was in like since 845, however when I got up to the speaker it was 9:01. They stopped taking orders... because they turn their machines off at exactly 9. I worked at shirls all throughout high school and this was never a thing. Iunderstand there needs to be a cutoff time, but if someone is in line before they close they should be served. We waited in line for 20 minutes on Sheridan road, in traffic! At 7:58pm a man who I think is the manager came out and told 6+... cars including mine that if we weren?t at the speaker box by 8 pm we wouldn?t get served. Regardless of getting in line beforeclosing. Horribly disappointed at the customer service. I would rather drive to Zion than come back to the Kenoshalocation. May 6, 2022 Tried to give this place another chance and was yet again disappointed. Ordered $39 worth of food anddessert. Was originally given the wrong food order and ice cream did not contain the candies I had asked for. After returningthe food bag, I asked that my ice cream be made how I ordered it. I received it back with all candy and almost no ice cream. Icalled and ask to speak with the manager and the girl that answered the phone ?Annalise? claimed to be the manager. Pulled through the drive through for custard, it was our first time! The long wait was definitely worth it. The custard was... superb (dare I say better than Culver's?!), and my fianceé assured me that the soft serve is just as good. I'll be back for ameal soon! Read more
The only reason I'm doing 4 stars instead of 5 is because I missed out. We tried several menu items (those cheese curds and the... custard daaaang! Those were our favorites) that we loved, but they were out of a whole bunch of stuff that I really wanted totry. All the chili options and the sloppy Joe stuff. I mean, what I eventually settled on was a meatball sub that was delicious,but I think I went through 5 menu items first. Super kudos to the sweet girl behind the counter who tried to make the best of myunfortunate choices. :D Anyway - if I'm ever in that part of the country again, I'd totally go back. Also, grateful for theoutdoor seating so our dog could hang out with us (and the incredibly nice family who saw we needed to be outside, so theywrapped up their meal to let us sit there). Read more
