The Cafe has food available cafeteria style. You grab your tray ask for an item and it?s plopped into your tray. When you?re... done you go to the register pay and find a seat inside the cafe or in the courtyard. On the weekends there is live musicoutside from around 5-8 pm. This place is convenient to grab food after or before a king exploration of the gardens. The menuis generally highly priced, but given visitors are not allowed to bring in food or re-enter they garden upon departure its notobscenely priced. They could?ve jacked up the price given their captive audience. During the winter the majority of the outdoorseating is covered by a plastic tent and heated. The food itself is fairly good, but some times are a little bland and justfall short of excellence. Nothing bad or offensive just average +. Read more

Super expensive, but the food is usually good. I would pass on the prepackaged cookies/bars. They always seem to be dry and not... nearly as good as they look. They could use an update on the kid friendly items. Read more

Pricey ($21), however, the bbq chicken bowl from the cafe was really tasty! We had no idea that food options from the cafe have... improved so much! Read more

It was a great spot to grab refreshments. I agree that the mac & cheese wasn't the best offering. The salmon was... delicious. And as one would expect being in the mushroom capital of the world, the mushroom soup is exquisite. Read more

The food was excellent and the ambience of the outside dining area added to the wonderful experience of Longwood Gardens. Highly... recommend the Roasted Turkey dinner. Everything, even the desserts, tasted homemade. Read more

The food here is terrible and overpriced. We got the "three cheese" Mac and cheese, it was similar to a boxed Kraft Mac and... cheese and nothing about it screamed it's 7 dollar price tag for the small portion size given. The chili was similar to a cannedchili, no fresh ingredients seemed to be used and it smelled the same as if it were out of a can. Taste wise it was a cannedchili as well. Lastly the chicken tenders ( 9.75 for 5 small tenders ) had awful breading and no flavor. The tenders weren'tfried well and the breading was as thick as some dry wall and has the consistency of it too with the dryness and sharp textureas it peeled off the tender in one bite. Total bill was 24.92, for the quality of food a chipotle or cava would be ten timesbetter. It's disappointing to see that even a McDonald's could produce better food and at a better price. The worst part is youcan't re-enter if you choose to leave the gardens. I'm fine avoiding this restaurant but there are no other affordable options (this one isn't even affordable for the food you get ). Read more

The "casual" 1906, good food at a lower price point. Due to COVID all ordering was taken outside in the Beer Garden area. You... ordered the food, picked the table, and the server would bring it to you in a brown paper bag. We were surprised at the qualityof the food in the setting of a "fast food" environment. The chicken tender basket was great, all white meat with good favor. Pasta carbonara was excellent, many bacon bits and herb. The Chicken Harrissa with side salad was flavorful with fresh greenand pinto beans. The beer list could be better, but it covered the seasonal beers well. You do not have a long list, but whatyou have there are decent. Overall it was a pleasant outing, and we would come back again to enjoy the food and the ambient ofthe garden. Expect to pay a bit more, in range of a decent restaurant, but quality does not come cheap.... Read more

The desserts are where it?s at here! The seasonal options are great to and the entrees are definitely filling and balanced.... There?s a ton of different drinks; teas, coffees, espressos, specialty fountain drinks etc. There?s also a wide selection ofgrab n go sandwiches, yogurts, nosh boxes, soups and more! The only downside is that it can get tight trying to order food butthere?s always plenty of seating inside or outside. Read more
