We had a craving for breakfast for dinner so Denny?s it was!! Our waitress Janet P. is the kindest, sweetest soul and she took... such great care of us. Tonight they have decided to allow only chosen people in and not others "due to maintenance" they say. Prior to attempting to... spend our money with this location I heard the manager on duty (short hair woman) tell some folks to come in. And refuse serviceto others. Well we were others that were refused service. Mind you the manager said very fowl things when we asked why wecouldn't eat! This is not the first time at this location that poor customer service took place. Prior to this night we ate andit was just poor quality. On a whim my daughter and I decided to stop here for breakfast after having not been inside of a Denny's in nearly 10 years. ... The outside of the building looks like it could still use a bit of love, but then so do nearly all the buildings in the Tampa /St. Pete area. Once inside, however, I was immediately blown away. The remodeling to bring the restaurant into the modern erawas excellently done. From the moment we entered through the front door to when we left the service was top notch, and farbetter than some finer dinning places that I have been to in the past. The wait staff took care of us, spent time to just talk,and made the experience feel more like a meal at Grandma's house than at a chain restaurant. And the food? Wow, that was animpressive meal. Sure, there are going to be better places, but everything I ate well exceeded my expectations! It was warm,delicious, came quickly, and just gave all around good vibes throughout the meal. So as someone who?s also been a waiter, it?s a good idea to check on other tables besides one big table that came after you. We... waited over 2 hours for our food and the waitress never came by to even refill our waters meanwhile the tables that arrivedafter us received theirs.. and here?s the kicker: they ordered the same food as us! You can?t use the excuse of having only 1cook or online orders to justify this bad service. Please do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else unless you want to killtime and not get your food! We visited this Denny's restaurant while traveling. The restaurant was busy with large parties but nonetheless our party of six... was greeted and seated within two minutes of our arrival. Our server, Jeremy C., was excellent. He was very friendly and patientwith our orders. Great customer service and definitely an asset to have. The food took more than 30 minutes to arrive, howeverit came exactly how everyone ordered it. Not sure if the delay was because they were pretty busy but overall a good experience. Read more
Stopped in for dinner around 9:30 pm and the staff was still friendly as ever and happy to see you. It was fairly empty at that... time so we were given our choice of seating. The menu has an ok variety of food all from breakfast through lunch and ending indinner so it's a great place to stop no matter what the time or craving you have, they have it here. Read more
