The food as always was great. Best sausage gravy around but for some reason we had to wait forever for the rest of our... breakfast. I will say that our server kept us informed and offered more biscuits and gravy for the wait. Read more
My lady and I had a wonderful lunch other day before heading to beach, we didn't wanna order too heavy had appetizers of that... blue ribbon candied bacon ???? and those lil cinnamon bites. The food was ok. I had the strawberry French toast. It wasn't like it was pictured. There was strawberry compote everywhere it... wasn't sweet and the French toast was bland. I was looking for more vanilla flavoring or something to that effect. The greenbeans were great and the chicken was very tender even tho the honey wasn't placed on it like we ordered it. We will never be back again to Bob Evens. Over a 45 min wait as the hostess with greasy hair and very unprofessionally dressed... just scratched out our name without calling us for a table as we were waiting for a booth and she gave ours away to someoneelse. We were sitting right by the hostess stand. Took another 45 minutes for our food to come and it was terrible. What a jokefor for the fruit that came with my meal. Waitress was extremely unfriendly, and treated us like we were a bother. Oh and myhusband syrup was served in a cardboard to go bowl, toast burnt and brought me sweet tea and I ordered unsweetened. I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and a salad. The only thing that I enjoyed was the side salad.... The country fried steak had been cooked too long and it was very hard. Normally you get the sausage gravy on the mashed potatoesand the steak. I had the right gravy on the steak, but chicken gravy on the mashed potatoes. When the biscuits were brought outthey had been baked too long and they were hard so I asked for a fresh ones. Unfortunately they didn?t have any because someoneforgot to tell the cook they were out of them. So I said OK I?ll take the rolls. The rolls came and they were not their normalrolls.
