The food is just ok. I don't like their salsa, it's kind of of sweet, and flat. It's mostly just a tomato flavor. They don't... have typical Mexican rice either, theirs is white. I got a cheese quesadilla, and it was cold and spongy. I also had a steaktaco, and that was ok. My husband got fajitas, and it was just ok. I've been coming here for the past 15 years. Until recently everytime we came we were greeted by the same friendly faces and the... food was always fantastic, great portion sizes, and great prices. Over the past year or so the menu changed and there's anentirely new staff which removed the mom and pop family friendly feel. This particular location was the best out of the 3 wevisited and would go out of our way to visit, 45 min drive. Hopefully they get back to how it used to be. Read more

I stopped going here a while ago because of the rude kid who took orders at the door. I recently returned, much more pleasant... service for to-go at the front, but last night sealed it for me. The restaurant was empty about 9pm, servers sitting around, soI attributed it to the July 4th holiday. I ordered my usual, and saw that it was $3 more than the last time. I was charged .95for a very small ramakin of salsa (they are very stingy with this average tasting sauce), although I told them I didn't want itfor an extra charge, an additional "TO GO" charge of.45, AND $1.50 extra for 3 flour tortillas. I worked in a Mexican Restaurantand tortillas are next to nothing in cost. I was not told about any upcharges when I paid, added in a $3 tip, but when I gothome, saw the extra charges. I called the store today, spoke with the "manager", who seemed uninterested, no apologies at all,but said she'd pass it on to the owner. So, although I live very close by, I will not return because of this gouging policy. Itold her I could have gone to Capers, and will next time, for a good meal. Consistently great experiences at Laredo?s on old 41! We?ve been coming to this location for years and have never had a bad... meal. We?ve tried most of the menu at this point and love almost all of the food. The salsa, queso, and guacamole are allexcellent and we always start with at least 2. They have options for everyone and our kids always find something they like too.The best part here is the service; we?ve had wonderful experiences with the wait staff and have always been well taken care of.If you?re looking for a great meal then check this location out! Came here on the way in from the lake, I had a group of 4 with me. The service was fast, but most importantly it was attentive.... We sat outside.
