I have tried L. Marie's several times and came away very, very happy each time. Each time I've tried to experiment with a... different offering and all have been delicious. The Ox Tail's were absolutely delightful, although I think is only a Wednesdayspecial offering. The vegetables always taste as though they just came from the garden. Fresh. Some of the best, most authentic Southern food I've ever had! Whatever you do, do not let this hidden gem's location misdirect... you! I visited with the hopes of trying some of the meatloaf, but when I found out that the fried chicken is made fresh toorder, I couldn't resist! It is perfectly crispy, juicy, salty, hot, savory, and buttery; everything I had always imagined theperfect fried chicken would taste like. I came with a few people who ordered the baked chicken, and they said it was equallyfantastic! And if the quality of the food wasn't enough, the young ladies behind the counter were wonderfully courteous, andnever hesitated to do what they could to make my visit better.
