Disgusted and a rip off avek mange kouche and legumes look like they make them in a rush with nocare. What a shame Read more
I will never go back! When this place first opened I was so excited. The food was good. However, lately the food is so bad and... the customer service even worst. Today I called and placed an order for goat meat with rice and beans and an order of Lalo ricesauce pois. I asked for akra with the dish and the gentleman told me that they no longer give akra with the main dishes. I saidok then I will have an order of akra and an order of marinade. I arrived to pick up my food and after paying I checked the foodonly to find that the two sides orders were wrong, Instead of akra and marinade, I got two sides of sweet banane and no saucepois for the lalo order. I told the gentleman this and he looked over my order and said: you must have ordered the sweet bananebecause that's what I wrote down. I said no. I did not order sweet banane, I do not like sweet banane, I do not eat sweetbanane. He argued with me and finally told me that he would make the akra and marinade. After waiting another half hour, he hadthe akra and proceeded to argue with me that I did not pay for the akra and marinade. This went on way too long and I am notabout to argue with a restaurant for an order that cost $4.66. So I said I will pay for it, even though I had already paid forit when I picked up the order. It wasn't even worth it! The marinade is just a greasy glob of flour and inside is not cooked. They don't even give you pikliz with your side orders anymore. So sad. I was so excited but it's just not worth the aggravation.Do yourself a favor and go to another haitian restaurant. there are others in the metro Atlanta area. I wish I could give azero! Read more
I live in Columbus, Ga which is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from JoJo Fritay. Whenever I am in Atlanta, I always drive... there to get some Akras. This restaurant is the only Haitian restaurants in the area that has been able to satisfy my cravings.I love to cook, but whenever I go to JoJo Fritay I usually get food for days. Great customer service, awesome atmosphere, andclean restaurant. ???? Read more
Extremely pricey....in addition portion is less than other competitors. I purchase their "Lalo". Beware buyers: they are... actually serving spinach and other green leaves....taste nothing like LALO. Rating explanation. 1 star = cleanliness ofrestaurant 0 star = customer service knowledge of what's going on 0 star = price 0 star = portion of food 0 star = authenticityof food served Result : 1 stars Updated Review: Feb 2022 After being begged to give this "restaurant" another try. BIGMISTAKE Ordered their *Legumes* I know there shouldn't be any Haitian with some sliver of self respect that would take thisplate as legume. Crunchy chunks of carrots, chunks of cabbage, green beans(really? Green beans in legume?), stems of broccoli, chunks of onions with some spinach to bind it all. This is sautéed vegetables FYI. Taste was fine but as I pointed out on myfirst review, food isn't authentic to the Haitian cuisine. So please name your dishes accordingly. Sautéed Vegetables - Spinach(not lalo) Read more
This was my second time at this establishment. I specifically told the man at the register that last time my fried pork was dry.... I order fried pork and fried plantains. The bunun was soft, thick and full of grease. There was no crunch to it at all. Theydidn't fry it long enough. The pork was tasteless, dry and hard. So, I have to finish frying my food to try to feel better aboutmy 15.00 dollars. It's the closest Haitian place to me but moving forward, I prefer to travel further for a better experience. Read more
