Great homey atmosphere across the narrow road from the beach. Nice fire pits and sitting area in front. Is lighted up with... strings lights across covered front porch. Inside you feel like you're in someone's spacious living room and dining room beingserved a great meal. Haddock has a nice surprise of being served on top of the lobster chowder with very generous portion oflobster. Prices are very reasonable for this level of service, quality and location. Read more

We ordered the lobster roll and shrimp cocktail... The shrimp was not cleaned properly (still had the digestive tract, gross)... and the lobster roll was soggy and watery. For the price ~40$ for a "market price" lobster roll, we expected the food to bedecent. Food also took almost an hour to come out. Overall terrible experience. Disappointing. Read more

We were taking a trip along the shore and by the time we got to this are the thunderstorms were coming in quick so we decided ... to hang here for a bit til it passed.as it did and we seen a gorgeous rainbow ????.. the watermelon martini was very sweetand delicious ???? the male bartender seemed to be managing drinks for entire place and did a great job at it! We were sitting right at the bar so not sure how restaurant service for drinks were but didn't hear any complaints. I had strawberry rhubarb crisp it was delicious. My friend enjoyed her food too.forgit name of her dish..porch is a nice place to sit and eat and alsothe lawn..over all exellent experience Read more

I?ve never posted before but had to describe my experience. I?ve been coming to the tides since I was a baby. When the new... ownership took over we still went, and we still enjoyed ourselves. This time however was a disaster. Hostess was rude. No systemin place. My lobster roll 45$ was the size of a small hotdog. Almost no lobster meat. They threw 10 French fries on my platewith it. I?ve never had this experience there before. We went to 2 other restaurants that we have frequented of the years and weenjoyed it much better that the Tides. They better fix this fast, especially from a place charging 1000$ a night to stay. Willnot be going back to eat. Read more

First time back at TBC restaurant since 2019 and it was extremely disappointing. We have been going to the Tides at Goose Rocks... Beach for at least 40 years and continued to enjoy it after change of ownership up until now. Excluding the bartender Ben (whois amazing and the only bartender for the entire restaurant by the way - don?t know how he does it) the experience was terrible. While I understand staffing shortages post pandemic (although doesn?t seem to be as much of an issue at other restaurants inKennebunkport) this was just unacceptable. I truly felt for the one waiter serving an entire restaurant who was clearlyoverwhelmed, and rightfully so. We were sat and it took almost 45 minutes to take our drink order or to be spoken to. Appetizersand mains came out very far apart for different members of our party, drinks never refilled and when we approached the hostessto ask what was going on, she rolled her eyes said ?this is the best we can do?and walked away. While I do believe that, howabout trying to be courteous to your guests prior to being rude. Food has declined in quality since 2019, 45$ lobster roll withbarely any lobster and cheap fries. To me this doesn?t reflect on the staff but rather the larger management group that own TBC,if other restaurants can staff appropriately in the area, what is management not offering at TBC to attract employees and givethem competitive wage or benefits. I had another reservation for Friday but will be cancelling it. Read more

We sat on the front porch yesterday and ordered our meals and drinks. The waiter brought out two plates that were supposedly... named "Fish and Chips". The two fish pieces on each plate were dark brow (burned in the fryer) coated in half inch thick batter. They were dripping in grease. The first bite was disgusting. I removed the batter and what was left was the tail section ofhaddock. The French fires tasted weird as well as the tarter sauce. We spoke to management who just started working there twoweeks prior. He was nice and comped the two 26$ (!!!) Meals. If Gordon Ramsey was sitting there he would have chosen a vastarray of expletives at the waiter and the manager. It amazes me to see a hotel on the ocean charge 700$ to 2200$ per night for aroom and serve garbage for food. BUYER BEWARE....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Read more
