A beautiful restaurant located on the ground floor of the hotel. There is a patio where you can eat outside and enjoy the view... as well. A perfect spot to hit up after strolling around the St. Edwards state park. There is a bar right outside the restaurantwhere you can also grab drinks. Food The waffle and fried chicken was very good. The waffle was fluffy and the syrup was sweetand complimented it well. The chicken was tender but wasn?t super crispy on the outside. I only had a tiny bit of the salmonfrittata, but the smoked salmon was delicious. The waffle tasted like potato and was pretty interesting. I wish I ate it withregular ketchup. Atmosphere The interior of the restaurant is nice and upscale. When I went, I think that there was going to bea reception for a wedding. There is a nice view of the St. Edwards state park and field. It?s very peaceful. Pricing The pricesare about what I would expect for brunch. The quantity was a little bit smaller than what I might get from other placesthough. Service The service was mediocre at the bar area. My family was seated at the bar because the regular restaurantseating area was reserved for a large party. I had to get up to the bar for service for anything like ordering or paying. I?msure the service would?ve been better if seated in the restaurant. Other Plenty of parking around the hotel and park. There isseating indoors and outdoors. A great spot to swing by after walking around the state park. Read more
Great service and actually good food. This plate of cauliflower was $26. It was supposed to be a cauliflower steak. Extremely... over priced in my opinion. My friends had a lamb sandwich with the best fries ever. It's a beautiful hotel with a lovelyatmosphere. I will go back I just won't have the cauliflower "steak" again. Read more
Had our Anniversary dinner there & did not disappoint. The cocktails & food were fabulous! Had excellent service. Beautiful... place! So happy to see that they turned this old seminary building into something great for the public to enjoy. Two bars onthe premises with a patio off the lower level bar. Very chic interior with a great location, and pretty good food. Multiple of my party ordered the halibut- I ordered the salmon,... my partner had the pasta, and another had the steak. The fish was pretty so so, halibut a bit too firm, under seasoned. Thesides were fairly unique and featured nasturtium pretty heavily. The chips and dip was a delicious snack, crispy tasty chips andcreamy dip. The bread was also super delicious and freshly baked- with butter at the perfect temp for spreading. 10 people for a lunch, no delivery no burger that we were warned. We ordered steak salad, Mushroom Lasagna, Tuna sandwich, pork... sandwich, Clam chowder with sable fish. Huge sandwiches with every spice on it. The chowder looked like laid sauce on a plateand very tasty, a big roasted sable fish piece was tasty, too. Lasagna did not come with any bread, I have to ask for bread topass around 3 times. The chow der came with 4 slices of toasted bread. No one liked Tuna one. Next time I want a ????. Read more
Amazing Mother?s Day experience! Definitely work the price of the food! My wife ordered the pork chop and I ordered the chicken!... Both were phenomenal and you got to eat here! The flavor is impeccable and great for date night! Lots of drink options and greatatmosphere. The chicken had a perfect crispy crunch on the skin and the sauce was delicious! The pork chop had delicious charand flavor as well as great sauce! We also ordered a chocolate cake dessert that was delicate in flavor and had greatpresentation! If your looking for a great date night or refined dining, I recommend eating here! Valet parking is complimentaryso no need to worry about parking at the park. Read more
Really a beautiful lodge. Service was great. However the food was extremely over priced for the quality of food we recieved. In... no way am I complaining about the service because the servers and staff were all great, but the food was not what we expectedfor the price. I believe with simplifying menu and lowering the prices, this place would be a great place to go and have a nicenight out. The rooms and the bars throughout the lodge were very cozy and great spots to go have cocktails. Bar service was alsogreat. Read more
My husband and I had brunch here today. It?s a really nice restaurant and the staff are nice. The 3 star is about the food. We ... started with a pain au chocolat. It was served warm but there?s nothing special about it. I had the fried chicken and wafflewhich I enjoyed. The chicken was flavorful. My husband on the other hand had the pork hash which was not good. The meat was verydry and the entire dish was lacking flavor. Read more
