I have been hearing about Jays for awhile now but whenever I?m in town my schedule hasn?t aligned with their hours. Finally this... weekend I got to try Jays and it was phenomenal! I am not really a thick crust person, but their crust is so cheesy and crispythat I will need to make this a regular stop when I visit again. Only changes I would make is to maybe ask for extra sauce,because it?s so flavorful, and extra cheese. Pro tip: you can ask a Neapolitan to be a square - we did that with the funghi pie:) Read more

I'm upset about my first experience with take out from jays. I always heard the pizza here was incredible. I came in and ordered... two gluten free pizzas for take out. One of them had such a small amount of topping on it, it was pretty much just bread. Theother one was lacking considerably too. Was not what I expected for $40 I felt like I basically got two loaves of bread withalittle sauce on them. I took two bites and wasn't able to eat anymore. I really wanted to like this place. Best Neapolitan pizza I've had in recent memory. If you get it to go, reheat the Neapolitan pizzas in a hot frying pan with a... lid to recrisp the bottom and avoid drying out the crust! The Neapolitan pizza is their claim to fame but the detroit stylecan't be missed. Read more
I have been to Jay's Artisan Pizza twice so far and have fallen in love. When we first went a few months ago we tried their... smaller round pies as they were cheaper. They were really good but I wasn't completely sold. This past week we decided to go andtry their rectangular thick crust pizza; it was a game changer. The crispiness of the ends mixed with the dough was of the thickcrust makes it some of the best pizza I've ever had. We tried three different kinds, with the hot cherry pepper one being myfavorite. It is pricey, but I could easily split on thick crust with my wife and that brings the cost closer to $10/person.Please go out and try it, it's worth it. Read more

Amazing authentic Neapolitan pizza. The dough is out of this world, overall a great experience. Don't miss out on the pepperoni....
