The meatloaf turnup mac&cheese was great. Just wish they were open in the afternoon so I could carry my wife to eat there.
The pork chops were out of this world. The collards were not greasy, but a bit salty. Rutabagas are also perfect. The apple... pie was disappointing as it tasted as if it was just thawed and the crust was mushy. The pineapple cake was wonderful accordingto mom. My brother said the pecan pie was ok and had the same opinion as apple pie. When it comes to the Employees, they werewonderful and I would give them 5 Stars. Do I recommend, yes I do. Please remember when you read the reviews they include the restaurant that was there before Granny's opened up. First, it is a... little different then before, no buffet. Which is fine the overhead cost for a restaurant is just to much in today's time. It isa cafeteria style. You go to the front order a plate that includes a meat and two sides. And yes they give you plenty, so don'tworry there! The food was very good. The wait staff was great. And they have really cleaned it up in there. So go try them outand remember to not pay attention to those old reviews!! Read more
This location in Kenansville was amazing! The food was hot and fresh! Mashed potatoes was made with real potatoes. Fried chicken... was definitely fresh and cooked at the correct temperature. Chicken and pastry was delicious as well! I hope the food andservice stays like this!! Keep up the excellent work! Read more
I realize it was one hour before closing. However the food should still be hot. BBQ chicken was okay. The fried chicken however... was lukewarm and not fully cooked. Had to remove several plates to find a clean one to eat with as well. Read more
I have always liked this restaurant until today. I was told there was no white meat chicken because it was too expensive. ( my... bill for the buffet was 10.69.) The ribs were cooked too fast and were tough, the pork chops were fried in old oil that i couldtaste. I will not be back anytime soon. Sorry to see a great restaurant go bad. ???? Read more
