We have been eating at Louie's steak & seafood restaurant for 30 years & I must say yesterday with DJ as the chef we had the... BEST meals we have had in YEARS! I had the Halibut stuffed with crab & shrimp covered with a light hollandaise sauce that was"to die for"! I had never had that selection dish before & I ate eventually last bite! Must try this! My husband always gets thefried razor class which u can't find anywhere any more. He boasted that they too were the best he has had in years!! Weattribute these delicious meals to their chef "DJ". A must try as well! & of course their clam chowder is the best creamiestwhite chowder packed full of clams in the whole state. We r old time Alaskans & really know great food when we eat it especiallyseafood! Give them a try! You won't b disappointed!!! Read more

A staple of any trip to this area pivots on visiting Louie?s restaurant. It?s an absolute must when you?re here. The quality of... the food and service is top notch and you will always leave satisfied and smiling. Ashley was our server this go around and shewas great. We had the Nachos as a starter and they are HUGE! Then we had a bowl of clam chowder with huge chunks of clams. Thesoup was pretty salty this time around which wasn?t awesome but still very very good. Then we got the blackened prim rib and theseafood pasta with the Alfredo sauce. Incredible! Huge scallops shrimp halibut so fresh and delicious. It was so much food thatwe could hardly eat any of the entres. The esthetic and decorations are between wildlife museum and a homie cabin. The chairsare very comfortable and it feels like you melt Into them. Apart from a few cob webs and needing a good dusting it a really coolplace. The staff is very personable and hustles like crazy to make it a 5 star experience. I would highly recommend making it apriority to visit this restaurant. I will continue to make this place a priority until the end of my days. Read more

We had the halibut and steak fingers. They were delicious! The ambiance is delightfully Alaskan, and the service was great.

The Halibut Fish and Chips and Clam Chowder are staples for our family when we come to Kenai. They have a welcoming rustic... Alaskan atmosphere and excellent customer service regardless of how busy they seem to be. Their food is consistently good andtheir portion sizes are so generous, my three toddlers can split a single kids fish and chips order. Read more

Locally owned surf and turf spot with about a 40 seat capacity on the ground floor. The blackened steak I ordered is about at... par with what you can get at downtown Anchorage but a bit cheaper with the exception of Club Paris which I'd say is a notchbetter. I ordered medium rare but the steak was a tad dry but well seasoned, quite what I'd expect for the price point. Thesides were good though the greens were overcooked. The Halibut Oscar would have the same greens on the side and served with somerice. The King crab was delicious but if you're looking for the full experience, this is somewhat like a garnish on the dish;Just enough to tease your palate to actually crave for more. The halibut was flaky but I'd personally some SnP to it andprobably a kick of spice but that's just me. The local IPA is always on point for me. The staff were friendly and accommodatingand the overall atmosphere was relaxed. I'd definitely go here again to try their other offerings. A 2 day, 1 night work trip isjust not enough time to explore more into their menu. Read more

We went for a late lunch /early dinner and this place was sssooo busy. We got prime rib, Cesar salad, and clam chowder. It's... was all delicious. Only negative was the broccoli could have been cooked little longer. The clam chowder was GOOD. Best I'vehad since Sea Galley. We'll definitely be back. Staff was friendly, super busy so I'm sure tired, but still friendly staff. Oldtime Alaskan hunter feel for the place. Was great. Read more
