Food was excellent, very fusion menu with Asian and European culinary inspirations. We finished everything on the table also had... a good ginger beer which I enjoyed. The atmosphere was beautiful, feels like the 60s with the Velvet seating, funky tables andchairs, neon lights and family style seating. Server was awesome with us! Will come back and visit. Read more
Skinny Dukes has such a great atmosphere. The food was excellent - there were quite a few meat dishes on the menu so not a lot... of options for vegetarians BUT the options they do have are out of this world. The Nasi Goreng was so filling and delicious… Ithink we ordered at least 8 of them to our table and not one person finished theirs - definitely a great value. The pizza isamazing too. Read more
Good bartenders will see your order and make your drink. GREAT bartenders will see your order and make you something you can't... replicate! This is Skinny Duke's. Yes, the food is fantastic (the Vietnamese Ribs give me pregnancy cravings without beingpregnant), but go there for an amazing drink. Ask the bartender to create something special (I literally ask for something ginbased, fruity, but not too sweet) - and they will create magic! Brian (as seen) and Matt are cocktail wizards and worthy ofpraise. They'll even explain all of the wonderful tinctures that make your toes curl. Went to a birthday party here. Happy birthday Krista! What a unique place. We had the whole downstairs to ourselves. Big... comfy couch. Just loved the decor! We were all say I remember that! The pizzas was so good tried all of them! Love the thincrust! Definitely will come again and try other things on the menu! The service was excellent! What more could you want? Read more
The food here was so tasty - me and my partner both cleared our plates. The plating was decorative and felt like there was care... put into it, it wasn’t just thrown on there. We LOVED Skinny Duke’s! What an awesome atmosphere and theme. You may think of it as a “dive bar” but it’s so much more... than that. It was honestly a step back in time, but with super modern and delicious food. Drinks are very classic and there isincense burning. Holy deliciousness! Went for dinner and wanted to try a few different things. We got the fried chicken and biscuits, lemongrass... dry ribs with rice, and the Amelia pizza. We were not disappointed, everything was delicious. Part of me thinks we got the bestitems on the menu, because I will happy eat them again and again, but the other part of me seriously believes that everything atthis place is probably amazing. Truly impressed with the fair prices for the portion you get, you won't leave hungry. Every dishwas also very flavourful and well thought out. The pizza had pickled onions that weren't overpowering, the fried chicken had afresh slaw and not too salty gravy, and the ribs came with jasmine rice with a coconut milk curry sauce that completed thedish. It also happened to be my birthday and the server was kind enough to offer me a birthday treat. Overall, fantastic placefor the comfy environment and seating, kind staff, unique drinks, and dishes that all deserve a chefs kiss. Been here a few times now and always absolutely thrilled with the food, atmosphere, and service every time. Best ceviche I've... ever had, hands down and delicious pork belly. Also been lucky enough to have Carrie Ann serve us every time and her service ispretty easily the best I've had anywhere.
