I know you have to change up the menu to stay fresh but they took my Blackberry Whiskey Sour right off the menu and the most... perfect beet salad has been changed to a head of lettuce with beets and cheese. I ordered drinks and one of the glasses camechipped, by the time the server came around again we were done our meal and just asked for it to be taken away. I didn't noticeuntil I was in the mall, that I had still paid for that drink, so I went back to the restaurant and asked for the manager whoquickly agreed with me and had our server come over and agree that this did happen. He quickly paid me cash plus tax back and Iwent home happy. If I had gone all the way home before discovering what happened this review would have been slightlydifferent. The food was good don't get me wrong but I personally don't think it was a great improvement but sometimes changingsomething, just because, isn't better just different. Read more
I am editing my review to add that to this day, two months later I have no been contacted by this business to discuss what... happened. That should speak for itself! Had the worst service ever! It took about 10 mins to be seated...and it wasn't evenbusy. When the waiter showed up he asked us if we had decided on our order. He did not say hello, or introduce himself. Weordered chicken bites as an appetizer. When they arrived the young lady (junior/food runner) asked if we wanted cutlery and sideplates. Off she went...to never be seen again! We did get cutlery from our server but no side plates. This plate NEVER left ourtable. Our meals were served by a cook and she was polite. The burger was plain, guess you ran out of mayo? It was a bit morecharred than preferred. The tacos were tasty, did not like the strands of cilantro hidden under the fish. That is pureLAZINESS!! Our server left mid meal with no warning, but he also never asked how our meal was... I wanted dessert to go, butconsidering we were deserted and were seriously contemplating leaving without paying (for a good 20 mins), we skipped dessert. Iwent walking around to find the washroom, but all I got was dirty looks from a waitress for no reason. She never spoke to me toask what I needed. It was strange and awkward. I told the bartender who said "Ya, she's not nice, I don't like her either."Great customer service right there for yeah! The table next to us had dirty dishes on it the ENTIRE 1.75 hours we were there(see pic). If it was busy, I would have more sympathy and patience but since it wasn't busy, its just a terrible restaurant. Ireally have no want or need to EVER come back here and if you know what's good for you don't go bother trying this place out!! Read more
I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and sat at the bar. Bartender (Chase) was fabulous! He was friendly, helpful, and... knowledgeable. Food was fantastic too! I had the tuna sushi bowl; quality was excellent and the portion was very generous. Venueis decorated nicely, is clean, and has a good overall atmosphere. I came for dinner here a couple weeks ago and just got a chance to write a proper review today. My server, Bonnie, was nice... enough - but you could clearly tell it was not even close to genuine act and more of a fake smile and leave kind of deal. Sheactually seemed fed up with us, although maybe that’s just my interpretation. The food was pretty good, but it took muchlonger than expected and it wasn’t exactly cheap for two burgers (but where can you go out to eat cheap food anymore?) Theonly thing I found quite appalling is that my server was quite rude to the other employees. Of course it is disappointing thatthis occurred in the first place, but especially unpleasant that it was done in front of the guests. I could tell it turned acouple other heads too. That set off the mood of the meal quite a bit. I have worked in the service industry so I’m familiarwith these kinds of work environments. Personally, I won’t support a place that runs this way and allows this kind ofbehaviour. Now I wouldn’t say it’s the worst restaurant, it would work in a pinch- but I won’t be coming back and I’dsuggest going somewhere else. Read more
Server was not knowledgeable , we felt like we were an inconvenience to him the whole time. We were not offered dessert or... coffee at the end, We finished eating and then waited 20 mins for a completely different server to come and bring us thebill. We were very disappointed in the service. I do want to point out that the cooks did a good job - my meal was enjoyableand even though the gluten-free salad was not the best it was still okay - definitely need more gluten-free options to yourmenu. Great breakfast! Our server, Cameron was friendly and helpful, the classic breakfast was like having it at a 4 star Hotel. I had... 3 poached eggs and sausage with hot crispy potatoes, and it was seasoned and tasty. My compliments to the chef, I used work atNordstrom’s Bistro Verde downtown and went to culinary school, Hotel style service for the celebrity clientele was extremelyimportant, you need to make sure the food is at a 4 star level, and it was!
