Reviews for Lupe’s Tex-Mex & Grill (Keller) in Keller, TX
I really like this place. I go occasionally with my neighbors. They have a traditional salsa and a black bean salsa I love to... mix. Their food is good and they have really good margaritas as well. I had an issue one time where I didn't receive service fornearly twenty minutes of sitting, but it seemed to be an isolated incident and they did offer me free drinks. Unfortunately Iwasn't drinking at the time. ???? Read more
It took about 45 mins. to get our order. My wife?s plate and food was hot. Mine was cold we have been there a dozens of times... it?s are favorite Mexican restaurant to go to. I notice everyone before us were waiting also for there food also. Not sure whatwas going on in the kitchen but it was super slow. This won?t stop us from going back because the food is good. But if itcontinues we will have to look elsewhere for good Mexican food. Read more
Our server was very kind buy it often found myself looking for him. The food was bland we had a sampler plate for an appetizer... and the chicken tasted boiled or canned not sure which. The brisket was food and had flavor ( from the peppers and onions) thefajita meat was basic not including tip out meal was almost $80....In the future I will go to one of our favorite restaurants(Baja Cantina) where $80 is worth it. We have been here several times and each time the quality is declining. This last time we were seated at a booth but had to... move because the table wobbled so bad. The second booth had badly ripped seats and when we asked to have the table wiped offdue to feeling sticky, we were told it wouldn?t help, ?just old tables.? Food is okay, just not worth the price when you takeall the extraneous things into consideration. Hope they can use some of their funds in invest in fix seats and at least covertables with tablecloth or butcher paper. Read more
Food was pricier for Mexican so we split some nachos and had 2 margaritas instead of a meal. Drinks were good, but still didn't... like having to pay $15 for appetizer nachos. But we understand with ALL pricing everywhere going up. Read more
OK place. Saving grace was the bean dip. that was good. I had the carne asada. Flank steak was chewy and not very flavorful. Not... much of a grilled presence, almost like it was precooked and then warmed up prior to being served. Service was pretty badalthough they did have a sign saying that they were understaffed and apologized in advance for the delays. Read more
Lupes USED to be our place to go out to eat. Now they charge for EVERY little thing. We quit going a while back because the... service and food had declined tremendously. Today we decided to get take out. A Fajita salad, chili relleno, and a side of riceand beans. My salad was very scarce barely any meat at all. My beans were mainly ?juice? and barely any beans. The wait staff onthe phone was very short and rude. Then i arrived 10 minutes after i called (They told me 15) and my food was always up frontfor i dont Know how long. The waiter asked what i needed, told him pick up a to go order and laid down the receipt and walkedoff. So rude and VERY HIGH PRICED!! We won?t be returning until some real change happens. Neighbors please let them know yourunhappy so these issues get addressed and corrected. Read more
We unfortunately had a pretty unpleasant experience at Lupe?s tonight. It started out a bit poorly that the waitress didn?t take... drink orders for half of the table until she came back with the drinks from the other half of the table that had alreadyordered. The chips tasted super off, like they had been fried in old oil and had a really bitter aftertaste. We told thewaitress and she brought more, but they tasted exactly the same. I had ordered shrimp enchiladas and after the food arrived andI had taken a few bites, I realized that they were spinach and not shrimp. The waitress said it would be a ?quick fix? to get anew dish, but by the time the shrimp ones arrived everyone else at the table was almost finished with their food. I had been sohungry and so a few people at the table offered to share some of their plates since the chips were essentially inedible and Ihad to wait so long. And the wait was not worth it as the enchiladas were very average, and I would not order again. We alsoordered sopapillas at the end, which arrived burnt and also tasted bitter at the end like the chips. Probably fried in the sameold oil as the tortilla chips. Based on this experience, none of the 7 of us at dinner are planning to return to this place. The waitress was nice and was trying, but the service was not good and the food also left a lot to be desired, especially forthe price.
