If you are really hungry and u don't have another option then go there. Food is overpriced its nt even good. Husband ordered... fish tacos they looked like my 12 year old niece prepared them. They were disgusting. My chicken sandwish was extraGreasy. Drinks are ridiculous paid 12.99 for a Aperol the glass wasn't even presentable looked like someone drank from it. Never going there again. My husband and I have been here a handful of times since they opened and have had good experiences each time. It?s a very cool... looking restaurant and you can go here for a casual date or more upscale family gathering. Also do you can find a seat at thebar I recommend that! Great drinks and solid food. They even sponsored a beach clean up that we took part in and supplied abuffet after. You can tell they care about the community. Read more
I went here for dinner last night and I have to say I wasn't impressed. I'll start with saying the drinks were good, the burger... was delicious but My short ribs although tender it was so bland as well as the polenta. My mom ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos andboy were they the biggest disappointment ????. She return them and got the corn beef sandwich, however the corn beef was supersalty and they put way to much mustard. I mean that mustard was so over powering that she took a couple bites and was over it.Ooh also our app had more fried vegggies then it did calamari n shrimp and the "lobster mac n cheese was really mac n cheesesprinkled with lobster on top. Beautiful renovations were recently done and you can tell a lot of time, thought, and effort was put into every detail. Staff... was SO friendly! And genuine! We had a whipped ricotta with pistachios and honey for an appetizer and it was fantastic, and thenthe monkfish for our entree. (Soft opening) ? Enjoyed Half Moon a little bit more when it was operating out of a truck in the parking lot. I don?t know if it... was the summer air or the frozen margaritas but it just wasn?t as good this time. The food was OKAY but nothing to rave about.In combination with the price we would probably only come by for an appetizer next time. The portions were large and the waitstaff was very friendly ? everyone working there was actually really sweet. So for me, if I?m meeting with a friend for a drinkand to catch up I?d bring them here. Half Moon is excellent for so many reasons! The location is lovely, it's right by the boardwalk + beach. If you sit on the upper... level outdoor deck, you can see views of Lower Manhattan across the water. The food is so awesome! I highly recommend the fishtacos and the mac & cheese. Be sure to cap your meal with the lemon bars for dessert. SO good! Last (but certainly not least),the staff are so nice and will make your experience all the better.
