Went to dinner with my friend. We ordered 3 items. The beef rice noodle with Chinese broccoli, the kung pov chicken and the... house special rice cake. The noodle looked dark and very dry. It needed more oil and sauce. It smelled and tasted burnt. Thefew pieces of beef we found in there were dried and chewy. And there were like maybe 3-4 pieces of broccoli in whole dish. Theywere very stingy with the ingredients! The Kung pov chicken was very bland and watery. The brown sauce was water down and neededmore seasoning and spices. It could not even be compared to Panda Express, that was how bad it was. The only dish that we likedand was good was the rice cake. The food was pricey and unimpressive. The waiter was nice and friendly. But overall they needto improve the quality and taste of their food. I gave the place two stars because the waiter was nice and friendly otherwisethey would have gotten just 1 star. Read more
My family and I always end up here when we don't know what to eat. They have a fairly big menu with a lot of variety. The food... always comes out hot and fresh. Food is consistently delicious as well. Service is hit or miss. They are pretty busy almostevery time we go, they've always been nice, but they are always on the go- so we may have to flag them down for more water ornapkins. Overall we really like it here. This restaurant has one of the best Chinese-Vietnamese style fried rice in Houston. There are pieces of red barbecue pork and... shrimp. You will see peas and carrots in this fried rice. Add a protein entrée and a vegetable dish and you are set! Read more
For sure a hidden gem! I am obsessed with this little restaurant in the middle of Katy! (Katy Asian Town/ Katy China Town)... Amazing service. I?ll only give them 2 stars bc I?m a regular buying food there.. My husband bought me wonton noodle soup on March 9?. I brought... it to work on Thursday the following day and this is what I find in the bowl of soup? lucky I didn?t swallow a piece of thesilver sponge? beware everyone and don?t buy their wonton noodle soup?. Just check your food thoroughly before you buy them? butwait how do we know what?s in our food when they prepared the dish. Someone need to speak up and contact the health departmentso they can investigate the restaurant to make sure they are following the sanitation regulations. This places is lit Saturday night. Super busy. People were waiting in line for a table but we ordered to go so we wouldn't have... to wait. My boyfriend ordered beef dry stir fried rice noodles and I ordered the macaroni bo luc lac (stir fried beef cubes).Order was ready in 10-15 minutes. Both dishes were delicious! My family loves coming here when we don?t feel like driving to Bellaire for Asian food. We like to eat family style so the... portion size for each dish is pretty big! They have a great variety of choices on their menu! It does get busy and service wasvery attentive. We love the interior design of the place and everything was flavorful. The tofu wasn?t really seasoned, but theydid put salt and pepper on the side to dip the tofu. The canh chua was very sweet instead of sour which was slightlydisappointing. So far this is the best Vietnamese/Chinese fusion place in Katy. We will definitely be coming back! Read more
