Prices have gone up, service has gone down. The Hungry Meal used to be $12, it's now $15. On 4 occasions the staff has... completely forgotten to put sauces in our bag and we didn't know until we got home. The lids for the drinks don't fit right andalways come off causing spills. On top of that, the large cups used to be pretty decent plastic cups you could keep and reuse.Now they're Styrofoam. The experience as a whole is going downhill. We started eating here regularly because Canes raised theirprices and their tenders got a LOT smaller. Now Slim Chickens is heading the same route. Doubt we'll be back any time soon. Read more
First, I love places that have paper towels on the table, so that was one of the first things I noticed. Second, the chicken... tender mac and cheese bowl was positively delicious. The fried pickles were perfect. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because myhusband said the plain chicken strips were good but not great. We will definitely go back. Went here for dinner with my family of 4. The price is great and the portions are large. The fried pickles were awesome! Thin... and crispy with great seasonings. The chicken tenders were good, but the breading was a little soft. I loved the desserts as thecome layered in a Mason jar and taste incredible! The chicken wings are good but average. The chicken strips are the best I've ever tasted. They were fresh, crispy and seasoned... to perfection. I actually ate them with no dipping sauce. I tried 2 different sauces. The sauces were tasty but they took awayfrom the original flavor of the strips. I will be googling their closest location while traveling. Unfortunately, we don't haveone near our home in New Orleans. Read more
Happy Father?s Day to all the fathers out there including Dexter and his staff team who are working hard at serving us today at... Slim Chickens. We had a pretty decent size order for eight people. Before we even finish filling up our drinks, they had our 30piece strips, fried pickles, two waffle combos, and large fries done and ready for us to eat. Also on top of that he kept upwith all the different ways we wanted to try the different sauces and had them ready to go. Dexter and his staff are politeprofessional and fast. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. I bought a grilled chicken wrap through doordash for slim chicken. This is what my wrapped looked like... when it arrived. This is unacceptable for the amount of money I payed for delivery and the food. This is the katy location. I amnot a Karen. I never ever do reviews but had to this time. This was my first time eating here, and definitely won't be the last. Both my order of tenders and fries were perfectly seasoned... as well as cooked to perfection. Additionally, they provide a variety of dipping sauce that are flavorful with very littleaftertaste. On my next visit, I plan on taking advantage of their dessert options because I have heard from others that they aredelicious and worth every calorie. Read more
This place has awesome chicken! We had the chicken and waffles on waffle Wednesday which discounted it by $4 - what a deal!! And... we had the Buffalo Mac-n-cheese bowl which was also delicious. The inside decor is nice and they have an outdoor patio. Thestaff is really friendly and helpful- this was our first time at a Slim Chickens. We will be definitely be on the lookout formore of them!
