Went to this place to listen the music and enjoy the music on Friday night. Behind us were the group of people sitting. Then... they start to smoke, like all of them, the waitress guy with broken hand ( in cast) told them they are not allowed, but theycontinued to smoke. Waitress didn't tell anything. We were looking forward to coming here. We stopped in at 9:25 on a Sunday night. It was moderately busy but not overwhelming. It... took about 10 minutes for a server to stop at our table. Once we ordered, it took about 15 minutes to receive the 2 beers weordered. The server came over and said, "Sorry, our bartender got behind and she is having someone that doesn't even work herehelp her get caught up so it shouldn't be much longer. But I guess I can go grab them if you want me to." Once she finallydelivered them to our table, she didn't have a bottle opener so she had to leave again to find one. Anyplace that offers a wide variety of beer is a place worth checking out and in the Katy area, there is one establishment that... eclipses all others in terms of total beer offers, tap plus bottles and cans. That place is World of Beer in Katy, located in LaCenterra. World of Beer is located near the back of La Centerra and if you want to get here more quickly, your best bet is toavoid the main entrance on Cinco Ranch Blvd and instead drive down Commercial Center Blvd and use one of the side entrances.This will also line you up to park your car in the garage, not too far from World of Beer. And you will likely need to, as thisarea is popular and parking spaces fill up quickly. Walking inside World of Beer you will notice that the inside is somewhatsmall, with a semi- circle shape and a long bar against the back wall. There are almost as many seats on the outside, and thisis where you will likely gravitate toward if the weather is favorable and/or if you want to bring your dog along. There areseveral televisions on the inside, usually tuned to sports action, and there is a jukebox to play your favorite tunes. World ofBeer features about thirty to forty beers on tap, but there are dozens and dozens more, in bottled and canned form. This makesit one of the top spots in all of Katy for beer. You will have no trouble finding a beer you like and if you are unsure, justask for a small taster, from the tap wall, before you commit. The menu options are not extensive, but they are more thansufficient, with a tasty pretzel and mac and cheese bites ranking as my favorite appetizers. You can easily make a meal out ofthe appetizers alone, but I recommend ordering just one and then ordering a hearty meal, like one of the burgers. Really good bar food! The food was very flavorful and pleasantly surprising. We went for lunch and really enjoyed the... atmosphere.
