Additional Information
Happy to welcome this well-known Tex-Mex establishment to the Katy area. This place has great food, a fun environment and the... best margaritas around. El Tiempo definitely makes staying closer to home an easy decision. Read more
Service and food was good, but didn?t plan on this painful burn from accidentally briefly touching the side of my hand to the... fajita stand they bring to your table?..they really need to have some better protection on them, I was aware it was hot andtried to avoid touching it but when reaching for some silverware my hand touched the side for .5 seconds and it was been burningfor about 3 hours now? El Tiempo in !! Katy !! Hand made tortillas, crispy chips and salsa. And.. for the win? beef fajitas! We would always drive down... to Guessner or Downtown for this. Ta-dah we now have one so much closer now. The other dishes are great but if fajitas is yourthing, this place is a must. We had Alex as our server this time and he was superb. Great, great service. Looking at reviews I think people are expecting cheap suburb prices. The prices are normal compared to their restaurants in town... and well worth it because it is high quality. Two margaritas, two dinners ? $75 with tip. Its not jimmy changas or a tacotruck. Its a lively place and they did a great job building out this location. Feels just like their other locations and theyexecute very well. Only downsides i picked up on - The extended area can get a bit loud due to the acoustics. The waiting areais a bit small. We only had a 20 minute wait for table of 2 on a Friday at 7pm. I got the fried fish tacos. Reallydelicious. Frozen margaritas are great. Really only need one of those! Read more

Not sure if it's this location or this restaurant has been affected by the pandemic. This was recommended by some friends. I... would say the food was ok. Especially with the prices they are charging. We don't mind paying the price but the food has to beworth it. Ill start with the salsa which the red one tasted like it was out of a can and thick. We had the shrimp enchiladasbecause they don't even offer fish tacos. They were good but not the best we have had. The shrimp inside were well seasonedand good quality. We also had their nachos which was a big disappointment. I wish had pictures to show but basically the platelooked like it had a pile of saucy ground beef, Pico which was mostly tomatoes, sour cream, and guacamole. Underneath all themess were 6 Tortilla chips. It did not look appetizing. Maybe this place was a hot spot at one time, but the management reallyneeds to evaluate their quality. We will not be back.
