Decided to give this place another try. I’ve been a customer for 2 years now and I do live a bit far now so I order through... Uber eats pick up when I have errands around the area. But their customer service is horrible. The first time it said my orderwas ready yet they had me wait 40 min because they never send the order to the kitchen. And now this time practically got yelledat for picking up my order from their pick up table! If you don’t want people grabbing the food they ordered just simplydon’t have the pick up table at the front. The food is good but not worth getting screamed at lol no wonder they never haveclients inside. Read more

A friend in Katy told me about this restaurant a few years ago. I have been a regular ever since. We also love Changs on I-10... at Westgreen, but China Inn Cafe has something I have never found anywhere in Houston. I have always love Chinese BBQ pork ribs,but the fat and bone can make them less than great sometimes. But when the owner moved here from Houston she brought her specialBoneless BBQ Pork ribs. No bone and NO fat. My oh my they are delicious. I also especially like their hot and sour soup. Iorder the large and take half of it home. Yummy. You need to try this place and especially those boneless pork BBQ rib meat. Iam adding a photo of my take home soup. I love it. Hunan combination lunch special. It comes with shrimp,beef, and chicken with vegetables. Great deal for lunch specials.
Placed an order for carry out. The service by the gentleman who took my order and gave me my food once I arrived was not great.... He came off as a bit rude. And when I came to pick up my food a part of my order was missing. I would say double check yourorders before leaving. I ordered the lunch general Tso and fried rice, with crab cakes. The spring roll that it came withwasn’t that good to me. The fried rice was not my favorite but the crab cakes and general Tso were great! Read more
I have been a good customer of China Inn for many years, however I probably will not be ordering from them again anytime soon! ... I always order the shrimp with vegetables and ask them to add garlic to the sauce and really enjoy it prepared that way. I havenot had a problem until today. The Shrimp and vegetable dish was awful! No sauce and absolutely no taste! It was as thoughthey boiled everything together in water! I had it delivered because I couldn’t drive myself. When I called to let them knowthat it was not cooked in the regular sauce and I also did not get my fried rice I was told that the chef said he cooked it thesame as always and that they were sorry I didn’t like it. We went back and forth for a few minutes and then I decided to justchalk it up to a bad experience and never go back! Terrible customer service to a long standing customer. I know how thisdish is supposed to look and taste because like I said, it’s all I have ever ordered from them because I like it so much.
