Reviews for Brett's Barbecue Shop in Katy, TX
Some of the very best 'Q to be devoured anywhere! The moist end brisket was melt in your mouth tender and full of flavor, this... is now in my hall of flame brisket....that good! They had a caprese special of the day sausage that was 5 stars....cheese driedtomatoes and beef...yum! The pork ribs were some of the most tasty tender ribs. The 'Q was so good I didn't even think oftrying their sauce...maybe next time. The cilantro jalapeno slaw was epic but the tater salad was even better...if that'spossible. This place is popular and they don't have enough parking so go early, they open at 11:30 am most days.... so weshowed up at 11:10 am and were the first through the door. They're moving to a new location in 60 to 90 days and the parkingshould be better. Read more
First, you know you're in a good spot when you show up a couple of hours after opening and they say they only have brisket and... some sides left. My wife and I shared a half pound of brisket with their mac and cheese and a special side they had for the daywhich was corn, bell peppers, brisket and beans. Brisket is forever ruined for me in Utah as I now know what it's supposed totaste like. I will be back again when we are in the area and hope that we can try their famous Beef Ribs. Read more
Finally checked this box on my BBQ tour. Great staff and I got a little interview before ordering so I could order lunch... correctly. The brisket was great. I got the chopped beef sandwich and pinto beans which were fantastic. Be prepared for a smalldinning room and limited parking, both worth putting up with for this very good BBQ restaurant. Read more
This place is in a small strip center. Between a barber shop and a tire store. Don't let that fool you. Great que. Great... brisket, with a good rub. The sausuge is house made and has a great taste. The chicken is juicy and smoked perfectly. The coleslaw is more of a cabbage slaw. Not my preference. Can't wait until they get a bigger place. Which I hear is coming. Read more
Great place for BBQ, if your willing to spend some money. If you want to try the best things on their menu, you will have to go... as soon as they open because they sell out fast. Only downside about the place is that they hide the prices on their menubecause it is expensive. I ordered a pound of brisket and a small mac and cheese and it came out to $35.72, which is kind ofridiculous when compared to other places. However, the brisket was very tender, flavorful, and juicy. Some of the best I've had.Mac and cheese was pretty good but had some large peppercorn grinds that would make things uncomfortable for some. Definitelywould come back to try some other things on the menu. Read more
The brisket was so tender and the sauce was really delicious. The slaw was so good too. It?s a small cozy place but very busy.... Lots of people come here for takeaways and catering. It is not easy to find parking during lunch hour but you have to try thefood here. Read more
I loved the thick cut brisket and how tender and flavorful it is. The bark was perfect. Of all the BBQ places Ive been in the... US, Brett's is in my top 3. Their Mac-n-cheese is better than everybody's grandma's. My husband really liked the Al Pastor ribstoo. Can't wait to go back. Read more
