Mrs Jay is the cake manager at this location. I consulted with her via email and phone to have a custom cake made for my son?s... 15th birthday. I sent her pictures for the cake and she agreed to make the cake how it looks in the picture without any issuesor concerns. She charged me $100 for a 9inch cake that would look just like in the picture. A simple ?drip cake? with fondantbasketballs on it. She did say that she would not be able to add the gold splatter that is on the cake. I said that was fine. Itold her not to add the small gold candies on the top. She agreed to that. I informed her that I saw all of the beautifully madecakes posted on Facebook, so I placed my trust in Smallcakes Katy to exceed my expectations. I was sadly disappointed. I pickedup the cake on my way to the party venue. It was nothing like what I ordered. But I had no other choice but to take the cake. Icalled to inform Mrs Jay, she was very rude, defensive, inconsiderate, uncaring, and unprofessional. She said that she approvedthe cake and that she did not see anything wrong with the cake. She was very proud of the cake. But she offered me 6 cupcakesworth $26 to compensate my frustration. My guest called the cake the Halloween nightmare version to the cake that I ordered. Itwas very embarrassing. Mrs Jay refused to refund me and she never apologized. She failed to admit that the whole cake was ajoke. I will never order another custom cake from this location. I?ve order custom cakes from Smallcakes Longview and Shrevportand they went above and beyond my expectations. Mrs Jay I suggest you get some training in custom cakes and customer servicebefore you lose your business. Read more
I love it. Perfect! Did a surprise for my Best friend 40th birthday and this cake was awesome. It taste so good and it was... enough to go around. My recent visit I ordered a cake (with a week and half?s notice) sent picture got a call and shared what I envisioned!She hadn?t done this specific decoration before - it was something new! I went in around 8pm, the place was empty. I was trying to get information about getting a decorated cake and the girl working... right away just said she doesn?t know anything about it because she wasn?t the cake manager, And to come in at another time. Didn?t even bother to get my info or even say they can get back with me, or at least be more friendly about it so I would feellike wanting to come back and get the info that I wanted. Another guy came in looking for information as well about glutenfree cakes and she was quick to tell him to go ask at another location because they don?t make them there. Zero customerservice.
