If you have the opportunity to meet Billie (sorry if I misspelled it), you definitely should. He is the shining star of this... establishment & made our experience so enjoyable. Our waitress was very attentive as well. We started with a GINORMOUS cinnamonroll (my picture does not do it justice). Dessert first, right? I then ordered the Shrimp & Grits. Best I've ever had!! Momordered the Two Piece Fried Chicken & I snuck her drumstick. The outer crispness paired with the inner juicyness was over thetop delicious. I will definitely be returning. Read more

Awesome local restaurant with a wonderful, down to earth staff. Paul the GM and Erica who was our bartender were extremely... accommodating as this was our first visit to Kansas City. Chatted with us about their establishment and other local places tovisit and must go eateries! We were there for happy hour and had a blast! Highly recommend. Great cocktails and beer selection.Ordered the deviled eggs and bbq pork rinds which were delicious. Definitely want to go back for brunch! Just go!! Read more

Love everything about this place! The atmosphere was calming, our server Evan was very knowledgeable and cordial, and the food... is delicious. My group enjoyed all our food (the Rye butcher board, squash soup, and the salmon/trout/chicken entrees). Theyalso have an award winning bakery, and the banana creme pie is the best I've tasted! My uber driver recommended Rye and I am glad I listened! Best fried chicken I've ever had. Mash potatoes on the side were... perfect as well. Staff including the bar tender and the general manager were very friendly and chatty. I will definitely stop innext time I'm in KC. Read more

Thrilled with our decision to get Easter brunch at Rye. The burnt end hash was loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection. The... cinnamon rolls should be famous if they aren’t: perfectly baked dough — neither gooey (in the bad sense) nor dry —flavorful icing, and just the right amount of cinnamon. And, if you can’t tell from the pics, they’re massive! Even the dripcoffee delighted: the special Roasterie blend was delicious. If we hadn’t gotten ourselves so full, we’d have stayed toenjoy one of their outstanding cocktails or a pour from among their fine selection of whiskeys. // UPDATE: I neglected tomention an equally important part of the experience: the servers. All the staff were prompt, attentive, well-groomed (you’dthink that’d be a given, but unfortunately these days it’s not) and courteous. Read more

Excellent place for weekend breakfast. Great food prepared properly, but not overly fancy. Reservations recommend on weekends,... but full service bar is open. My only issue was my square hash browns "patty" was more like I'd find at a fast food place. Read more

Service was great! The food was good, only thing is that there was too much bread used when making the French toast. It took... away from the "French toast" taste. While this spot is a little pricey it's definitely worth a visit. I'll return one day! Read more

Rye was really great. There were several flavors that just went together! The beet salad was great as well as the shrimp and... grits! The pork chop was a hit and the lemon meringue pie really finished off the night! We will be back! The atmosphere was awelcoming classy feel with great food to follow. Read more
