A lovely European style courtyard with echos of conversation and the therapeutic trickle of a fountain in the middle. I would... sit here without the food and coffee but it?s nice that they offer meals, salads and desserts. It's reasonably priced given its location. I always assumed it was expensive because it's in the Nelson but everything was... tasty. No refills on drinks from what I saw she portions weren't large but decent. The servers were all very helpful andfriendly. Read more
Perfectly placed within the museum. Sure it wasn't dirt cheap, but it was reasonable. The presentation and flavor was well worth... the price. The water was even served in glass water goblets. The serving size was good too. I'm on the smaller side, but wassatisfied with the half sandwich and dessert. The atmosphere was airy and it fit with the feel of the museum. The service wasalso nice too, since they brought the food to the table and cleared it for us. Read more
Nice restaurant in the middle of Nelson-Adkins. you order sandwiches and soups and the bring them to you. Staff was helpful... and the service was prompt. I got a roast beef sandwich and it was good when I got the sauted onions in the bite. the soup washot and spicy, delicious. Our other sandwich was a chicken salad. it was tasty? but the meat was a little dry. Read more

The food court is very nice and set up nicely for social distancing. You order at the register and then they give you a number... that you put at your table and they bring the food to you. We ordered the hummus plate and caprese salad both were great. I alsohad a chocolate chip cookie as well. There?s a beautiful fountain on the inside that is peaceful to listen to. Lovely, relaxing setting cannot be beat. Like eating in a European bistro, this restaurant gives you the feel of eating outside... even in inclement weather. Cafeteria style format but high quality and interesting dishes including vegetarian choices. Largeselection of homemade desserts, many beverage options and availability of snacks makes this a wonderful place for lunch or justa break during your visit to the museum. I like the cafeteria style set up they started during covid. I picked what I wanted, paid, and sat down. I ordered a whole... chicken salad sandwich, a cup of macaroni, a slice of key lime pie, and a bottle of coke. The food was a little overpriced imo,but it was fairly good. I paid about $28 for the meal. I liked the sandwich a lot, but the tart taste of the pie wasoverpowering and the style of the scorched cheese topping on the macaroni was definitely not for me. The staff was friendly, andthe restaurant is beautiful. I don?t know if I would come back here as a college student, but it was a convenient stop for meduring tours. Read more
