My goodness, "Papu" (owner's childhood nickname) fills his gyros, stuffing them with meat, lettuce, tomato and sauce. The pita... was nice and lightly toasted. It tasted delicious. The hummus and salad did not disappoint. He has had the gas stationlocation since 2010, and the location on Noland Road for two years. His food remains constant. Both Papu and his staffchecked on diners frequently, making sure all was satisfactory. Well, it definitely was. Great job. Read more

Absolutely the worst gyro meat I have ever ate ordered gyros plate and the gyro meat was cold and mushy took 1 bite and tossed... the whole plate in the trash. Salad that came with it was worse they didn?t bother washing their lettuce before serving it theyjust cut it up and tossed their house dressing all over it was very bitter tasting like the Romain hadn?t been washed. OK, so on the positive side, the sandwiches were made fresh when I ordered. I tried a falafel sandwich and a Gyro sandwich.... Apart from that, they were not very impressive? The hummus, yogurt sauce, and the garnishes were not particularly tasty, and thesandwiches kind of fell apart once we got to eating them. Really wanted to enjoy this meal a lot, but it really did not cut it,compared to other places around the region. The man who took the order and cooked the sandwiches was not deeply endowed with apersonality that was in chanting, but I guess that is OK. Read more

This place used to be top notch...food was always fresh ..orders were exactly right. That is not true anymore...when you call on... a to go order you have to give your order to someone who does not aparently understand, speak, or write English very well...whenthe order gets to the kitchen...if anythong written on the order can not be deciphered...it is ignored..pita bread is hard as arock and can not easily be chewed. I'm guessing it has been over microwaved....prices are very reasonable but still not worthit...this used to be my favorite place to eat. I will not be going there anymore. Read more

We stopped in a couple of day ago after being in KC for a doctor's appointment. We were looking for a place with... vegan/vegetarian options, and we stumbled upon this little cafe inside of a gas station. The man behind the counter was verynice and helpful in answering our questions. We ordered the falafel sandwiches (which are on pita bread), and a hummusappetizer. We also ordered soda fountain drinks from Papu's (but the fountain is on the gas station side), but when we got overto the soda fountain, there were so many house flies and fruit flies (like not just a couple, but maybe 40-50) that my son wasgrossed out and didn't get his soda (bought him a Gatorade instead). The falafel sandwiches were good with extremely freshingredients, but overall I thought a bit on the bland side (could use some Sriracha sauce or something spicy). The hummusappetizer was good - very fresh, but a bit bland like the sandwiches. Read more
