Foods Amazing! Definitely a Favorite
My family has been visiting this restaurant for 30+ years. We've always had excellent food and service. Today it was not. We... arrived at opening time and were told nothing would be ready for another 20-25 minutes. We asked if we could sit and havesomething to drink while we waited. Food is excellent. My mom got shrimp and vegetables and the shrimp were huge. I got a trio with vegetables. The vegetables... used were cooked so well, nice bite to them and a really good variety. The pros: the food was beautifully presented (as pictured- the ?Neptune?s catch of the day on top of bird?s nest?). Our server... was very sweet and provided great service. My partners dish was delicious, he had the orange chicken. The cons: My dish wasdelicious besides the scallops obviously being frozen as they smelled and tasted so. I also regret to say that I found a pieceof plastic in my food towards the end of the meal (I stopped eating when I found it needless to say). The glasses were alsoslightly dirty and had a bit of a filmy feeling to them. I have eaten here since I have been a kid. The service and food have gone so downhill, it's very sad. I ordered sweet and sour... chicken no vegetables and they gave me empress chicken instead(the chicken is sautéed in the sauce and extra sugar is added,changing the sauce completely). I called to let her know and she kept saying she told me the sauce would come on it, which shenever did. By the time I got home, the chicken was soggy and the sauce didn't taste good. I told her she never mentioned thesauce on it and she kept insisting. I told her this isn't sweet and sour chicken and I think she just wanted to say it wasbecause they messed it up and she didn't want to fix it. The fried rice was SO bland, and it used to be my favorite item toorder. I had a couple bites of both and just threw it away. It wasn't wasn't salvageable. So disappointing. I won't eat hereagain. The ONLY thing that tasted decent was the egg drop and the wonton soup. And the wonton was cold but at least there wassome flavor to it. Don't waste your money for someone who will argue that an entree is what your ordered when it CLEARLY is not. Read more
