After striking out at some other restaurants on a busy Saturday night, decided to see what good pizza was around. Found one... place, then last minute decide to give Johnny Jo's a shot. Was not disappointed. It's a small shop, just a few outdoor chairsto sit but otherwise carry out only. The lady taking our order was friendly, we got a Pepperoni Pizza and 2 Cannolis. Took about15 min, pretty quick considering it was a Saturday night. When we got back and ate it, WOW. Pizza was thin crust, almost newYork style, but had a little char that gave it an extra push. Pepperoni were big and fresh, and it had some "after the fact"seasoning on top to make it even better. Then on to the cannoli, they were amazing, too. My wife and I were both blown away andvery pleased that we didn't wait an hour at other restaurants to sit and eat. Or we would've never given this delicious pizzathe chance. Read more

I specifically asked for no green peppers, I do believe I wrote it twice. Guess what? It had green peppers! Pizza smells good... but I haven?t been able to eat it yet as it is in the oven. Not quite cooked all the way. Read more

This was the first time eating pizza from here and I'm not sure I would do it again. I saw thew reviews and decided to try it,... but I was not impressed. The location is hidden off a street away from the plaza, which isn't an issue, but it is a smallbuilding with everything packed inside. They didn't have cheese pizza when I arrived, so I settled for two pepperoni slices andit was not as good as people make it seem. The crust was thin, which was fine, but it was so hard and hardly any sauce on it. Itmay have been because it was refrigerated beforehand, but it was not good like I was hoping, especially fore the price. Read more

I'm from NYC and I love some good pizza. Saw this place from doing deliveries and had to try it myself. Was very excited to do... so i ordered a full pie, half pepperoni and half extra cheese with a order or garlic knots. As I don't mind thin crust pizzathis was so thin and hard I was shocked and disappointed. The flavor was good. The knots was ashy. Brushing with oil beforebaking might of help but it did not incorporate the garlic flavor at all. Looked good but that's all I got Read more

An interesting experience. No dine in, only carry out with a handful of chairs outside but no tables. Tried 3 slices ? the... pepperoni/sausage was outstanding and left me wanting more of the same. Flavorful toppings, cheese & sauce on a super tastycrust. The basil/mozzarella was good but not memorable. And finally, the day?s special was a 4-cheese with bacon. It was fair. Will go back & recommend giving it a try. Read more

This is very likely my favorite pizza in KC! A NY style pizza, the garlic knots and calzone are amazing! I've also ordered pizza... by the slice. It's easy to drive right past this spot, there's two parking spots in front of it, otherwise you're at the mercyof limited street parking. This is a to-go spot. I think there was one or two spots for dine-in pre-pandemic but now it'sdefinitely to-go. Read more

Found this small pizzeria when I was craving pizza. Love their pizza! Fresh ingredients. Their pizzas are thin and deliciously... fulfilling. Love their toppings. My BF and I both agree best pizzas in the area. One time I did an online order for takout andwouldn't be able to get there before they close, but the girl staff I spoke with said she'll stay there until I get there. Sheeven asked me what my estimated arrival time would be so she can keep my pizza heated until I arrive. I really appreciated theaccommodation. Read more

This place was a complete surprise to me. I?ve worked in the area for over two years and I can?t believe I haven?t tried it... sooner. It?s a little hole in the wall, parking is difficult, there?s no dining area, and they?re not fast - but wow was itworth it. Oh I have tried the Sicilian Stromboli along with the original, and they are both amazing. The crust has a nice crunchwith a chewy center. Nice and yeasty. They are generous with the toppings and you get their homemade sauce on the side. Go getsome! Read more
