After hearing raving reviews about this place my wife brought me for a breakfast date. We both ordered the “Whistlestop... Skillet” and Kristin was our kind waitress. Within 10 minutes of us ordering our food we were shocked at how fast the servicewas with our food being brought out. My wife frowned and stated her chicken was cold so I tried mine as well and it was coldalso. The skillet wasn’t warm, the hash browns were hard and gave off the appearance of laying around for a long time driedout. Our biscuits and gravy weren’t warm either. The only thing that appeared to be fresh on both of our orders were theeggs. I informed Kristin that she could touch the chicken to feel how cold it was and she was very apologetic and offered toremake them. She stated she will let her manager Craig know as well. My wife just ordered eggs and bacon after that but I hadmine remade. It was brought out for the second time and to my surprise the hash browns were still cold, dry and crunchy thechicken wasn’t fresh and felt like it was just warmed up along with the biscuits. The skillet was still cold. Kristinapologized again and I informed her I am hungry and will try to eat it. I moved the hash browns to another plate and attemptedto eat what I could. Unfortunately Craig the manager never came to speak with us however Kristin took our meals off and weensured that she was taken care of for her service. I honestly can’t say I will never go back but no time soon. Two thumbsdown with the management on the day of Nov 19, 2022 at 920am. Praises to Kristin our waitress. Read more

I had an awesome dining experience last weekend, and got to try out their Sunday buffet. The buffet is from 11-3pm and being a... late eater, this was perfect. We were delighted with the abundance of dishes to try out and I particularly enjoyed the Belgianwaffle station and the seafood section. My favourites were the biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, all the delicious fruitsand of course the meat section. The prime rib with horse radish sauce was decadent but the ham was kinda dry. The crunchybroccoli salad was a perfect side. I would stay away from the fried chicken, it was dry but it’s a buffet fried chicken socan’t complain. The desserts were so beautiful to look at, but I got too full to sample those lol. I did get a chance toenjoy the bread pudding, a little too sweet but oh so creamy, custardy, and decadent. The service was pretty good and we got tosit upstairs and enjoy the bustling Union Station scenery. Read more

Inside the union station this unique restaurant has been around for years and is a fun place to eat while enjoying all that the... union station has to offer. A great location in the grand lobby of the old train station with its high ceilings and majesticarchitecture. Breakfast is served until 11 am . The selection is great and the service was good . Our food was tasty but slow toarrive and not hot when it did finally arrive. I want to try the Sunday brunch since it sounds so good and I will update myreview when I do. The prices are rich and the parking costs are reasonable . Read more

Some weeks ago my brunch group “CC BRUNCH BUNCH” decided to try Harvey’s! Let’s just say we weren’t disappointed at... all! Upon arrival, our group was accommodated with a great area for the size of our group. We were seated and our server wasvery prompt with greeting us and taking drink orders. I’ll take my hat off to Chef Sean!!!! He was very happy with how much weloved all the food and came over to speak with us to see what our thoughts were on everything! The buffet was a combination ofbreakfast , dinner and desserts! The staff made sure we knew when things would be replaced on the bar and about how long! Theykept everyone pleased and even though it was busy, I never saw one person feel fluttered or irritated! Price was a bit high forbrunch and union stations parking , however it was well worth it in our opinion as a group. Read more

An excellent place for breakfast at KC Union Station. We went there for brunch on a Sunday. The selection was superb. I had... French toast, sausage, garlic chicken, roast beef, and dessert. Salmon, eggs, and lemon cake were some of MJ's choices. Otherselections were available as well. Did I mention this was a buffet? We were both happy that we went. Another hit for KansasCity, Missouri. I've eaten here 3 times. Each time I enjoyed good food, fantastic service, and expeditious seating. The atmosphere is very... tasteful and relaxed. The setting was casual but classy. Yesterday I was taking to the upper level. I had a wide open view ofmost of the shops and entryways. The tables were small but there was ample space between them. The ???? was perfectly crisped. The ham was thick and juicy. My ???? were browned, crisp, but soft internally. Scrambled ???? were light, fluffy, anddelectable! The restaurant was moderately busy.
