Found this place online by accident when looking for a place to meet my family in Kansas City. I learned about the unique... serving system via trains. With a true young train enthusiast on travel with us, this was a must stop. The atmosphere isdefinitely unique and worth a trip to experience. The food was, let's say, barely tolerable. I did not find it satisfying andcombined with the rush of people, and being on travel, the satisfying experience was lacking. The staff was friendly andquick. I do recommend this location for the experience, especially for families. Perhaps the food would grow on me if I was alocal and could try other items on the menu. For us and the burgers, it was really non-descript. I was impressed with how fastthe line moved. I observed the line from a distance for an hour waiting for my family to meet me and saw the line grow, butpeople entered quickly. We were around the corner and to the bathroom(?) hallway, but it didn't take perhaps more than 30minutes to get a table for four. Read more
One of the main things we'd heard from friends about Fritz's was "the food is average" or "you don't go for the food". But my... wife and I and our daughter went for the first time in late August 2022 and overall everything was great. Obviously it was superbusy being a Saturday, but we only waited about 10-15 minutes to get in. Service was quick and mostly friendly, and we thoughtthe food was great (double cheeseburger, strawberry shake, and pork tenderloin sandwich). The fries were just average. This was a great experience! The decor is all train themed, you order by phone, & then a small train that drives around by the... ceiling delivers your food. We had the burgers, fries, onion rings, and chocolate shake. The food was good and reasonablypriced. The chocolate shake is a must as are the onion rings. They give the kids little conductor hats to wear. All in all apositive experience and I would highly recommend. We did Legoland in the morning, Fritz?s for lunch & Sea Life in the afternoon.Made for a full & fun filled day. Read more
It's a fun experience! We went for the first time yesterday and my son loved seeing the trains driving around the restaurant and... delivering the food to each table. The staff was fun and helpful, and it was very reasonably priced. Oh! Don't forget to getyourself a shake! The butterscotch one was delicious! If you're going for the food, DON'T. It's so gross. There's no flavor to the fries. Chicken nuggets are all rib meat. The... basket that the food comes in was soaking wet. Like literally dripping wet. Half of the food was soaked. The trains are cool. Mynephew had a great time watching the trains go by. Service sucks. The bus boy is very nice and helpful though. Let me first say that if you're looking for a fun experience during lunch or dinner, this could be the place. A railroad themed... restaurant where the trains positioned above your head drop off your food after you order via a corded phone next to the table.This is the only reason it got more than 1 star. However, if you are looking for good food, this is not the place. The burgersare grilled, like steak burgers, thin, and crispy. They were okay. The hotdog is cut into 4 slices, placed on a bun withpickles. The fries were flavorless and terrible. The drinks were fine and a good size. They serve coke and Dr. Pepper productshere. Wonderful place to stop and get lunch. Great tasting old fashioned burgers and really good prices on the food too. I had two of... their cheese burgers and fries and a shake and it was only around 10.00. Very filling and the trains that deliver the food was afun nostalgic way of doing things. My kids loved watching the trains and seeing all the cool decor. We'll be making a trip backto Kansas city just to stop here! Read more
What a great experience. Could be great for a date with your significant other or a great place to take the kids. I loved the... atmosphere and the way you ordered your food was really cool. You sit down at the table pick up the phone tell the operator whatyou want and watch the train above deliver your food. The price is right and the experience is priceless Read more
