Great local spot with a spectacular view of downtown. Some questionable comedy on Sunday night which is fun. People are nice.... Drinks are hit or miss, but priced right . I did enjoy the beige Russian. Read more

Literally the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. The staff were surly, sour and incompetent. We had to ask for... everything including silverware which was met with hostility. There were more employees than customers; the lack of service wasbaffling. We waited an hour for eggs; the food finally came and was cold, soggy, eggs were apart (runny whites on one part ofthe cold bread and a hard yolk on the other) and the wrong order. We had to ask twice if they could take it back and were metwith a dirty look; no communication at all. Waited another 15 minutes and asked for the check for the drinks. Not a word, justshoved it at me. It felt more like an attack than breakfast. Just bizarre. Read more

For sure a hidden gem! Looks much bigger on the inside, we came for breakfast. I got the tamales and they were delicious and... authentic, the chorizo is so full of flavor. My boyfriend got the waffles and they were also good. The patio out back is cute!We will be back to get a drink! Read more

The hidden gem of Kansas City!! No other bar or restaurant has a better view of the skyline of downtown. Come for the view, the... drinks, or the food because nothing will disappoint. The demure interior is perfect for a first date or spend the afternoon daydrinking on the outdoor patio. No matter the reason this has to be a must do when you visit Kansas City or are looking for a newplace to try. Mockingbird has it all. Read more

A great neighborhood Bar that has craft cocktails and a nice atmosphere. In my mind, the only thing that could improve the spot... is to have snacks available when the kitchen is closed. Read more

Excellent little bar that serves brunch and lunch items all day. The bartender was skilled and polite. The drink menu was... intriguing, with unique selections that seemed adventurous at first glance. But that sweet potato flip was as delicious as itwas eye-catching. Very much both. There is a patio outside that overlooks the KC skyline to its east. It's small but tiered andwe'll built. The interior decoration is attended to with care. I could tell they had tried to make a space where artists couldshare with art lovers with drinks and small bites and a sense that, in this space, things are good. Sunday nights, they featuresongwriters of a high caliber from Kansas City's very strong music scene. It's a mistake not to make this a part of your life. Read more
